After a failed delivery on August 17, I finally got hold of my free phone from Globe’s loyalty program yesterday. It was a brand new Blackberry Curve 9220 valued at P9,900. Remember this post? I changed my mind at the last minute. Instead of the Samsung Galaxy Pocket, I requested for this phone. And it was the best decision, ever.
I don’t plan to use the phone, though. I’m actually selling it to my sister N at a meager price. She said she wanted a BB phone before and when I brought up the matter to her the last time we talked over the phone, she was more than willing to buy my BB phone. Cool.
My Blackberry Curve 9220 arrived in a sealed box, complete with the basic accessories. The hubby and I tested the phone as soon as we arrived home and it had no defects, so far. As per Globe CS, I could have the gadget returned within 7 days (for possible replacement!) if I found out it had defects. Good thing I didn’t have to resort to that.
The only catch with this free phone from Globe was that I got automatically subscribed to BB Chat 99. It’s actually unlimited BB chat plus 200 free texts to Globe and TM. I say it’s not so bad, because even if I won’t be using the BB chat (as I’m currently using an iPhone), I could still use the 200 free texts. Fair enough for an additional P99 on top of my P499 monthly bill. 🙂
