32 Weeks

32 weeks down, 8 more weeks to go. I can’t really describe the mixed feelings I have right now. As a first time mom-to-be, being in this situation can be both overwhelming and nerve-wracking. But above and beyond all this, I’m just really happy and grateful. Happy and grateful that God entrusted me this great blessing called a baby.

I’m also glad that our baby is getting bigger, healthier and more active inside my womb. I always look forward to his waking hours when he moves like a very energetic little boy. I, along with the hubby, try to spend more time with him each day. Normally, we bond with the baby during nighttime when he’s almost always awake and ready to mingle with us.

More and more people are noticing my bulging tummy. It’s funny how each of them has something to say about my pregnancy. While some are merely noticing the obvious changes in my physical features, others are confident enough to make a wild guess about my baby’s gender basing only on the shape of my tummy. And they were very accurate in their guesses, huh!

So far, I have yet to feel any contractions (Braxton Hicks or the real ones) which is a good thing. I don’t experience any difficulty in breathing, either. I just make sure to stand up and do some little walks every now and then as my form of exercise. Actually, we have a wedding to attend this weekend in Bulacan and I think I can still manage to endure the long travel without harming the baby.

I can’t believe I’m very near to d-day! I want the days to pass by more quickly because I’m so excited to see our baby in the flesh. But I know it’s not possible and so, I’ll just spend the remaining weeks preparing myself physically, psychologically and spiritually for our baby’s arrival. God is good, I know everything will be fine with Him around. 🙂
