Home and Design Blogs

Aside from lifestyle and food blogs, reading home and design blogs never fails to make me feel good. Actually, they inspire me. Inspiration, that’s the operative word. Looking at newly made-over rooms, effortlessly beautiful spaces, pieces of furniture that were modified to create new looks for the home, DIY projects, arts and crafts, and other design inspirations gives me a high (the good kind, of course!). These blogs make me want to do exactly what they’re doing to their homes to my own home. If only my space is as lovely as theirs, or I’m as rich or as creative as they are.

I hope to paint our place yellow someday! (like this image taken from here)

But I’m not. I will have to save up money first before venturing in a home improvement project. With our finances right now, I can’t just buy new items to add to our house. You know what I just do? I make a list of the things I wanna copy or adapt from so that when the time comes that I already have the resources to use in my projects (DIY or otherwise), I can easily plan and make my move. Isn’t that smart? Haha.

If you like looking at nice dwellings or just wanna be inspired, I suggest you check out home and design blogs. And don’t limit your reading to just local blogs, because there are also blogs based in other countries that feature equally beautiful and inspiring posts. Three of the home and design blogs I visit are 101 Grams of Eye Candy (101gramsofeyecandy.blogspot.com), Works of Heart (www.worksofheartbypat.com), and Making it Lovely (makingitlovely.com). Actually, I just found them accidentally and fell in love with what I saw in their blogs and since then, I’ve been a frequent visitor. 🙂

  1. hi, Edel! ang dami kong backread!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I was out of the blogging world for months. Anyway, I do hope you’ll get over it the soonest and it’s important that you keep the faith. I was in a similar situation(lost my 3 month old angel too) last 2005 and I could relate with you. Anyway, I could feel that you’re handling the situation very well. Healing thoughts to you and your hubby! 🙂

    p.s. got a new web address! 🙂

    1. Awwww, thank you Trix! It’s hard but life has to move on. We continue to trust in the Lord, maybe it’s not our time yet to have a baby. As soon as we’re okay, we will surely try again. Sorry also for your loss. Medyo nakaka-sad lang pag nakakakita ng ibang babies pero masasanay din siguro ako. Hehe. 🙂
