The District, First Ayala Mall in Cavite

Yesterday afternoon, the hubby suddenly invited me to go out. It was unusual because I was always the one dragging him to different places to unwind. Haha. Anyway, of course I said yes immediately. He was talking about an Ayala development somewhere along Aguinaldo Highway. After a 20-minute car ride, we reached The District, the first Ayala mall in Cavite.

The mall is already open to the public although most of the shops are still closed and construction is on going at one side of the complex. We saw several shops and restaurants that are already entertaining customers. They were Globe Business Center, Payless Shoe Store, People are People, Bench, Mendrez, Army Navy, Burgoo, Sumosam, Wee Nam Kee, Starbucks Coffee, Jollibee, and our favorite Manang’s Chicken. Opening soon are the popular J.Co Donuts and BonChon Chicken, among others.

There are still a lot of things that need to be done in the mall. But what I like there is that there are both open-air and air-conditioned spaces as well as real trees and plants scattered all over the place. You can really tell it’s an Ayala thing, their commitment to sustainable living, etc. I’m guessing the other building being constructed will house a supermarket, a department store, a cinema house and more exciting shops. We are definitely going back to this place. It’s a great alternative to the SM malls we frequent.

The District is located on the corner of Daang Hari and Aguinaldo Highway in Imus, Cavite. It’s so easy to find. If commuting from Manila, just ride a bus going to Dasma/Tagaytay and tell the conductor you’re alighting at The District. If you have a car and are coming from Alabang or the Molino area in Bacoor, just drive straight along Daang Hari and you’ll find The District at the end of it, Cavite side.

Check it out, people, while parking is still free! 🙂

  1. Hi, I’m interested to put-up a Spa business in your still under construction branch in Tagaytay. I need a rental details and requirements. Do you have a definite date for the opening? Thanks
