Summer Outing

It’s that time of the year again to hit the beach and bask in the glory of the sun. I’m talking about summer outings, my friends. Our office is not one to get left behind when it comes to summer outings especially now that we are allowed to have an all-expense-paid team building activity yearly.

But don’t get me wrong, the “all-expense-paid” part is quite an exaggeration. It’s not the “sky is the limit” kind. We’re never allowed to splurge because everything falls on a strict budget. But of course, we can still spend our own money if we like. Somehow, we’re still in control so we can have fun if we want to. And that’s what I like about it.

I was the one who arranged for our overnight booking at a resort in Batangas. Because we’re a small office, it was easy to choose our accommodation. I got a big house for us with four rooms. Each room is good for four people. We’ve paid the 50% down payment this morning and the resort just emailed our reservation confirmation voucher to me now. Cool.

Hmmm, I guess all I need to do from today ’till April 11 is prepare my body for our summer outing. I need to slim down some more. Oooopps, what slim down? I still need to lose a lot of weight so I could fit into my one-piece swimsuit! Aargh! :)
