Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary Celebration

It was a last-minute plan but I was so glad it pushed through. For our second wedding anniversary celebration, we had a staycation at Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang. It was a newly-opened hotel, well-managed and beautiful in every aspect. We just had an overnight stay there but we enjoyed every minute of it. We checked into the hotel on Sunday and left the place Monday noon.

If you’re also planning for a staycation, the hotel is highly recommended. I heard their rooms are discounted until April 2014.

Here are some photos we took of our simple celebration:

Room 901. That’s the room where we stayed. It’s a corner room so we had a view of the busy Alabang-Zapote road outside.

The lobby was the hubby’s favorite part of the hotel so he made sure to have his picture taken there.

My shoes were killing my feet so I felt very relieved when I finally set them free. Aside from a queen bed, our room also has a day bed where one could just sit back and relax.

Soon after we settled into our room, we dozed off. When we woke up, we went up the Pent House where the infinity pool is located. We had it all to ourselves! But the water was cold and the wind was blowing hard we only got to swim for several minutes. Haha.

Who wouldn’t love an infinity pool with a great view of the Alabang skyline and Laguna de Bay?

We walked towards the nearby Molito to have dinner. We had ramen and gyoza at Ramen Yushoken. Good choice because we loved their food!

The Alabang skyline at night was breathtaking!

We loved the rainhead shower in our bathroom. For this alone, our splurge was worth it. Haha.

Romulo Cafe is the in-house restaurant of Azumi Boutique Hotel. On Monday morning, this was where we had our buffet breakfast. The selection was minimal but we enjoyed it, nonetheless.

We were on leave on Monday (the exact day of our anniversary!) so we were able to wake up late. By 11:00 am, we were already prepared to leave the hotel and head to Manila. I love this picture. We look so fresh and young here. Haha.

After we checked out of the hotel at around 12:00 noon, we spent the rest of the afternoon together running some errands and finally, joining the hubby’s family for dinner at Savory, SM Manila.

I still can’t believe we’ve made this far in our marriage. Two years is still two years. Here’s hoping the coming years in our married life will be as blissful and committed and blessed! 🙂

P.S. I also posted some collages on my IG account @edelweiss_19. Let’s follow each other there! 🙂

  1. Of course, 2 years will take you to your 25th, 50th, to infinity and beyond. Invite nyo uli kami sa renewal of vows ah. 🙂 Happy Anniversary!

  2. I love having staycations in Alabang. It’s like getting the best of both worlds – the fresh air you get when you go to a province and the “Manila vibe”.

Medyo late pero, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 🙂
