Holy Week 2014

We had a simple but fun and meaningful Holy Week break. The hubby and I were joined by my two siblings Jodie and Son at home in Bacoor. But we went to Cavite only after we finished the traditional Visita Iglesia in Manila. We visited a total of seven churches, as usual.

On Good Friday, we just stayed at home the entire morning and early afternoon. I baked a chocolate cake out of boredom and it turned out so good. We ate it after every meal until the very last slice was eaten up.

one slice is never enough!

We went out during late afternoon to drive around Daang Hari (I wanted to practice driving there also).

Black Saturday was swimming time. We trooped to Kalipayan Hotel and Resort in Dasmariñas and paid P200 per head to use the pool. I didn’t prepare any food so we just ordered from the in-house restaurant there. Actually, we were supposed to go to Volet’s Resort but the place was packed with people that we got scared. Haha. We also attended the anticipated mass at St. Jerome Emiliani and St. Susana Parish in Alabang which was the longest mass I’ve ever attended. It started at 9:30 pm and ended at past 12 midnight already.

On Easter Sunday, we just stayed home again and went back to Manila in the afternoon because the hubby and I got invited to a dinner by a family friend. We went to My Kitchen by Chef Chris at the Oasis Hotel in Paco for some panizza, pasta and homemade gelato. It was our second time there and we were glad the food there remains as awesome as ever.

How was your Holy Week celebration? What did you do and with whom?

    1. Hi Jen! Thanks for appreciating my Personal Finance posts. I think I’m still a work in progress, hirap pa ding magsave lang ng magsave at hindi gumastos. Hehe. Pero kaya natin yan! 🙂
