More Time with Family

After I got married, I have to admit I had less time to spend with my family. With family, I mean my parents and my three siblings. When I was still single, I used to be a homebody who spent most of my time with them. When the hubby came into my life, I had to share some of my time with him also.

It’s a good thing I have a husband who understands my need to check on my family, especially my parents, from time to time. It’s a good thing also that we live near them, well, technically. My in-laws’ place in Manila (where we stay at least twice or thrice a week) and my parents’ place are just a few steps away from each other.

Since the hubby is in Bohol right now for a short vacation, I decided to stay at my parents’ place so I could have some quality time with them. Like the past three nights, for instance, when I slept on the same bed with my mom. We chatted until the wee hours and I had never felt so in-the-mood to talk. I just love her and treat her as my best friend!

All I really wanna say is, I look forward to spending more time with my family despite my busy schedule at work and the fact that I’m now a married woman who has to prioritize her husband and his needs. 🙂

They’re getting older and we should really try to spend as much time with them to show how we love and value them while we can and while they can recognize it. 🙂

  2. I have a very wonderful relationship with my Inay, 2 lang namin ng brother ko at panganay ako plus we have a 5 year age gap, kaya sobrang close kami ng Inay, I miss those days na sobrang kwentuhan namin. This post made me miss my family more.
enjoy your quality time with your family. 🙂

    1. My brother and I has a six year old gap naman, hehe. Plus may dalawa kaming sisters, four lahat kami and I’m the eldest, too. Yep, mahirap talaga mawalay sa pamilya, kasi ibang klase talaga ang saya pag kasama natin sila. 🙂
