Weekend Story: Lotsa Time with Family and Friends

It’s not every weekend that I get to have plenty of time to spend with family and friends. Last weekend was that kind of weekend. I had lotsa time in my hands to meet with friends and spend quality time with the hubby and my family. My weekend turned out to be fun and filled with positive vibes. I loved it!

On Saturday, I met up with some of my blogger friends at Heaven and Eggs, Glorietta 4, Makati. It had been ages since I last saw them (though I always get updated on their latest endeavors through Facebook and Instagram!), primarily because I decided to “lie low” in attending blog events the past months due to heavy workload in the office. We had a delightful brunch of American and Filipino food while catching up on what has been happening in our lives.

On Sunday, we attended a birthday party at McDonald’s Doña Soledad branch in Parañaque. It was my friend Monette’s son Matt’s 3rd birthday. Monette’s mom is also the hubby’s first cousin so we saw a lot of their relatives there. It was a fun party made more alive by the presence of a lot of kids.

After the birthday party, the hubby and I went home to get some rest. At around 7pm-ish, the hubby asked me to accompany him to the nearest Starbucks so he could study for his school report. I decided to take my two sisters with us and so I had an instant bonding time with them. I love my two sisters to bits and I always have a great time talking with them. No generation gap despite the fact that I’m older than them by almost a decade. Haha.

All in all, it was a fun and memorable weekend. We may have not spent it in Bacoor and we may have not had a lot of rest as we would have liked, but we enjoyed it nonetheless.

How about you, what’s your weekend story? 🙂

  1. You surely had a blast this past weekend Edel. I have missed your post I got busy last week because of James being sick but I am back now. So happy to read you are doing great. Hehe. My sister’s were almost a decade older than me too but there were no age gaps whenever we have bondings too. I am the youngest among girls eh. =)
