Weekend Story: Meetup with a Blogger Friend + Beauty and the Beast + Work on Sunday Night

Last weekend was quite productive and fun at the same time. I got to rest and unwind on Saturday while Sunday was spent mostly at home and at work (at the restaurant).

As the title of this post suggests, there were three highlights to my weekend. First was when I finally met Jerellt in person on Saturday afternoon at Robinsons Manila. She’s the food and travel blogger behind Je’s Anatomy. I won in the recent giveaway she hosted in her blog and the meetup was planned primarily so I could claim my prize.

So happy to have met you, sis, and your husband Boyet! Thanks again for taking the time to meet up with me and for the box of Mary Grace ensaymadas. And may I add, you’re prettier in the flesh, may hawig ka nga kay Kathryn Bernardo, your face and your petite frame. Walang biro! 🙂

The second highlight of my weekend was when the hubby and I watched Beauty and the Beast at the CCP. It was a great show! The entire cast’s performance and the music were spot on. The props and the costumes were spectacular.

The musical was two-and-a-half-hour long but it was worth it. We went home in Bacoor right after to spend the night there.

Waking up on a Sunday morning in Bacoor is always a special moment for me and the hubby. He wakes up earlier than I do to wash the car and do the laundry. He would only wake me up when he gets hungry. Yes, I’m a spoiled wife but I don’t abuse it. Haha.

my breakfast plate, this is what I call a balanced meal, LOL

Lunch was courtesy of these yummies which I got as gift last Christmas:

It was one of those days when I didn’t have much energy to whip up a decent dish. Good thing the hubby understood. Well, he always does. He doesn’t have a choice, anyway. Haha.

We were to return to Manila on Sunday afternoon. That’s because I had work at the restaurant. There was a big group (VIPs of an international shipping company) having dinner there that night and they needed extra help. I always, always want to be of help to La Cocina de Tita Moning so I showed up just in time. After working, I still had some time to surf the net. I think I got to sleep way past midnight already, tired but happy.

Have a great work week, friends! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,

  4. She looks like Kathryn nga! I would have loved to see that musical, too. I wonder when we’ll finally have the facilities to host these kinds of events. And I love that breakfast plate! Yum!

    1. Soon, Maan, soon! Davao is such a bustling city growing economically at a fast rate so anything is possible. Brown rice is love! Oh ayan, Jerellt, may isa pa ditong naniniwala na kahawig mo si teen queen KB. 🙂

    1. Hi Em, thanks for dropping by! Uy, that’s a nice goal. Masaya to meet a co-blogger in person. Salamat, nakakapagbihis din ng maayos paminsan-minsan. 🙂

    1. I’m not so sure about their policy on babies, sis. I can imagine, mahirap talaga magbreastfeeding kaya saludo ako sa inyong mga ina! Hehe. 🙂

  5. WOW! ang sexy mo naman Edel. I should take my daughter to watch Disney Musicals like Beauty and the Beast. I just have to find the time..

I like your breakfast and your lunch ha..

  6. I miss watching theatrical plays especially Musicals. Sana makanuod din kame ng mga twins ko pag medyo malaki na sila at sana maapreciate din nila tulad ko. Kasi hindi biro ang production ng mga plays.
