Frugal Find: SM Woman Black Business Dress

While I don’t shop a lot (you might wanna read about my successful 11-month long shopping fast last year), I have this special shopping list in my head containing several “wanted” items. I have sworn to myself that I would not look for these stuff. If I’d see one accidentally, I’d buy it immediately (provided I also have money at the time). No questions asked. It’s like destiny, with the item and I being meant for each other.

Such was the case with this black business dress by SM Woman.

Thursday of last week, The hubby and I was buying a gift for his goddaughter who celebrated her birthday last weekend when I saw it at the ladies section of SM Department Store (SM Manila branch). From P1,399.75, the price was slashed down to P600 (that’s more than 50% off!). The size was medium and it was the only one left in that size. I snatched it off the rack, brought it to the dressing room and tried it on. When I got out, I showed it to the hubby who was waiting for me just outside the cubicle. He said it fit just right but I thought I needed to shed a few more pounds to look good and confident in it.

What do you think?

Before buying the dress, I inspected it and it was in perfect condition, no damage whatsoever. The outer fabric is a blend of spandex and nylon, quite similar to what we see in swimsuits and thick leggings. To keep it cool inside, it has a lining of polyester (my guess, but I stand corrected). It has a magic zipper at the back and the front has some subtle lines at the right places to flatter the figure.

It’s a midi, not a mini, which I think makes it very appropriate to wear for work. Actually, it can easily transition from day to evening events. It can take me from work to party, except that I don’t party much. Haha. 🙂

May you choose happiness always,

  2. Huwag mo na kaming tanungin ng “What do you think?” Tignan mo na lang ang kutitap sa mga mata ni hubby habang suot mo ang LBD! :p
