Cooking with Edel: Homemade Avocado Ice Cream

Note: No ice cream maker is needed for this recipe. There’s no actual “cooking” involved here, too. πŸ™‚

I know. It’s no longer avocado season (or is it still?) but I just want to write about the homemade avocado ice cream I made one random weekend for posterity’s sake. Haha. This easy peasy recipe only requires three ingredients and four steps to make. This is one insanely good (and healthy, too!) dessert for the entire family!

Ingredients:

3 big avocados, peeled and mashed
2 all-purpose cream (200g packs)
1 condensed milk (big can)

Directions:

1. Put the mashed avocados into a plastic container.
2. Pour over the all purpose cream and the condensed milk into the mashed avocados.
3. Mix thoroughly.
4. Placed the creamy mixture inside the freezer.

Tip: Gently cover the top with plastic/cling wrap for a more ice cream-y mixture. Nabasa ko lang dati online ang tungkol dito. Haha.

Enjoy! πŸ™‚

May you choose happiness always,

  2. Since reading this post, I can’t wait for the weekend to come para matry to. Kaso wala nang tindang avocado nung naggrocery ako (SM Megamall) kasi di na raw in season :(. Medyo gusto kong umiyak at magwala that time hahaha! Next time.

    1. Hi Mylene! Thank you very much for visiting my blog. Oo nga raw, not in season na ang avocado. Kaya pala ubos na ang bunga ng avocado tree ng FIL ko. Next year na lang ulit.. πŸ™

  3. what my hubby would do is chill the AP cream, and then beat/whisk it until it achieves soft peak. tapos saka nya ihahalo sa kung ano mang flavor ng ice cream. it does the trick. nakakapagod nga lang mag whisk kasi ala kami electric mixer. as for me, kain lang ako ng kain. charot!
