Weekend Story: Carmona-GMA Road Trip and X-Men: Apocalypse in 3D

Last weekend was busy and fun. The hubby and I went on an impromptu road trip to buy some bike parts in Carmona and visit a friend in GMA (both places are in Cavite). We also watched the latest X-Men film in 3D at SM Manila. The rest of our time saw us doing household chores and taking some rest at home in Bacoor.

On Saturday, I intentionally skipped biking to sleep longer and continue reading this book on good manners for those “nice people” who sometimes say f*ck. Basically, it teaches how to behave well in public and deal with rude behavior in everyday life. I’ve been enjoying the read so far and I hope to finish it soon.

While I was in the company of my book, the hubby was sweating it out like a pro biking in Mall of Asia (MOA). I have to give him credit for not missing his Saturday morning ride ever since he started biking again. He even bikes during weekday mornings (like three times a week at most).

That Saturday, we had the hubby’s officemate and biking buddy Giannie over for lunch. He had just upgraded his bike’s group set and dropped by my in-laws’ place to rest before going home in Taguig. That and of course, to talk about all things bike and biking with the hubby. We ate at The Patio which, just like La Cocina de Tita Moning, is closing its doors for good this May 31st. So sad. 🙁

The hubby and I headed to Bacoor at night right after hearing the mass at our neighborhood church.

On Sunday, we drove to BikersChoys (a bike shop selling quality bike parts and accessories) in Carmona. The night before, the hubby’s biker friend Joey tipped him off about the shop and its affordable offerings. He then made a quick decision to buy his rims from there.

The hubby bought a pair of Dartmoor rims there for PHP4,000 which was PHP1,000 less than its price in Quiapo. Sayang ang discount!

From Carmona, we dropped by my superfriend Nice’s place in GMA. We had lunch there courtesy of her awesome cooking. It was great to see and chat with her parents again as it was ages ago since we last saw them. Thank you again for having us, Rom family!

Sa sobrang tuwa ng asawa ko sa malaking discount nya sa biniling bike parts sa Carmona, nailibre nya ako bigla ng sine. Hahaha. When we got back in Manila on Sunday afternoon, we watched X-Men: Apocalypse in 3D at SM Manila. It was our second time to see a movie in 3D.

Our 3D movie experience there was okay but it was nothing compare to our IMAX experience in MOA before. It must have been the smaller screen and the not so well-maintained 3D glasses. My SIL Albie decided to join us at the last minute and we all had a great time because the latest X-Men movie didn’t disappoint.

Have a fruitful week, friends! 😉

May you choose happiness always,

  1. I was urging my partner to try IMAX sa MOA because I have free gc’s eh ang layo kasi sa min so sa SM Cinema lang ang bagsak namen. But anyway I think he enjoyed the Xmen Apocalypse though I honestly enjoyed the Captain’s muscles from Civil War! Ha Ha Ha

  2. Cant even remember the last time I went out to see a movie, puro downloads nalang kasi ako haha. Nakakatuwa yung lunch spread at your friend’s place, talagang mainstay sa bawat Pinoy dining table ang isang litro ng Coke! 🙂

  3. The book sounds interesting. Pwedeng makahingi rin ng copy if meron ka? Hehehehe.
Ang sweet naman ng hubby mo at nilibre ka nya sa sine hehehe. I am avoiding the cinemas the past months dahil mahal na manood ng sine but mukhang maganda ang X-Men. Maalaman this weekend if I can convince myself to watch hahaha.
