Weekend Story: Bohol 2017 (San Isidro Town Fiesta + Henann Resort)

Last weekend was spent in Bohol for a short vacation. My PILs flew to Bohol ahead of us so when we arrived there, their house in San Isidro (my MIL’s hometown) was spick and span already and we just needed to lie down and rest. We stayed in Bohol for 6D5N and our time was very sulit. We touched base with our relatives and friends there, we joined the festivities (the town fiesta was last May 15th), we checked out the malls in Tagbilaran and Tubigon (where I tried different ice cream flavors from the Buzz Cafe of Bohol Bee Farm), we went to my MIL’s farm, we procrastinated, we laughed, and we ate a loooooot (read: fiesta). We also booked an overnight stay at Henann Resort in Panglao Island which is arguably the biggest and the newest resort in Bohol right now (loved the massive swimming pools with bars and the festive vibe there!).

It was a super fun trip and we never wanted it to end. But as they say, good things don’t last so we’re now back in the Manila to work and save up money so we could fly to Bohol again next year. As for my PILs, they get a month-long paid vacation every year from their employer which they ALWAYS spend in Bohol. Lucky them!

Below are photos from our Bohol vacay (medyo madami, haha):

  1. Bohol will always be memorable to me. First trip ko kasi via plane hahaha.

Fiesta kung fiesta. Daming food! Sarap sarap pa! And Hennan Resort looks promising. Parang ang laki nyang resort.

    1. Aba, pareho tayo! Bohol din first plane ride ko, nung bf-gf pa lang kami ni hubby, sumama ako sa family vacay nila. Maganda sa Henann! Nakita ko langs a IG feed ko, sabi ko mukhang bago pa, ma-try nga. Super nice, pati breakfast buffet, sulit sakin, hehe! 🙂

  2. Wow 6 days in Bohol! I wish I can also do that. Ang daming good reviews on Hennan, sayang they were still developing it when we went to Panglao couple of years back. Happy you enjoyed your vacation! Nakakaloka ang mga piyesta sa atin, bawal ang diet! Hehe 😀 Advance happy weekend Edel!

    1. Of course, you can! Pasalamat kami ni hubby, pinayagan kami magleave sa dates na gusto namin. Okay ang Henann kasi bago pa at malalaki ang swimming pools. Masaya magpicture-taking, hehe. Happy weekend also, Jackie! 🙂

  3. Bohol! Hindi pa ako nakakapunta diyan, but I’d love to visit it soon! Also, it’s just so nice to visit a province ‘pag may uuwian doon. You get comfortable accommodations and ang pakain, walang katapusan! Natakam ako sa lechon!

    1. True, mas masaya pag libre accommodation at food at kilala mo pa mga tao sa paligid. Prone nga lang sa pagtaba lalo na sa tulad ko na walang kontrol sa pagkain, hahaha. Go, visit Bohol na! 🙂
