Weekend Story: Drive to Alabang + Promotion Dinner Treat

Have you tried dining out lately? We have on a few occasions, the most recent one was last Saturday at Ramen Yushoken because we were craving for ramen and not just any ramen but their very own tantanmen. So, the hubby and I drove to Alabang to eat tantanmen and run some errand for my side of the family. We were not surprised at all that Ramen Yushoken still had a queue outside despite the threats of the virus. We waited for a good 40 minutes before we got seated. We were extra careful, of course. It was a quick but very satisfying lunch. On Sunday, my brother Dan treated the family to dinner because he has recently been promoted at work. We had KFC and Jollibee (two of the fastfood brands we patronize). We capped off our dinner with the desserts (i.e. cheesecake cups and cookies) he ordered from his enterprising friends.

The rest of the weekend was spent with our baby NJ whom we love to pieces!

Weekend Story: More Christmas Shopping with Family + TAP Christmas Party

On Friday night, the hubby and I drove to Bacoor with Mame and my sister Jodie. We did some Christmas shopping (our wallets are starting to cry already, haha) at Alabang Town Center. We also heard the anticipated mass at St. Jerome & Sta. Susana Parish beside it. Then we went to Festival Mall to do more Christmas shopping and have dinner. On Sunday, we traveled back to Manila and after dropping off Mame and Jodie at their place, we drove straight to Megatent in Pasig for the hubby’s car club’s Christmas Party. It was a fun weekend and once again, happy memories were created which are now stored in our hearts. Life doesn’t have to be complicated. That’s why I always remind myself to choose happiness all the time.

In other news, malapit na mag-Pasko!!!

Weekend Story: Catching Up, Cozying Up

Last weekend was a great time to rest and relax. We went out to brave the heavy traffic on Friday night, though, and traveled all the way to Alabang from Manila to eat delicious ramen with friends. Ramen Yushoken made me eat pork! I just couldn’t resist their tantanmen and gyoza. Sinulit ko na ang cheat day ko, hahaha. The rest of the weekend, the hubby and I were just cozying up together in the bed tinkering with our phones because it was the next best thing to do aside from doing nothing. We only went out to hear the mass and go to the wet market on Sunday before driving back to Manila in the afternoon that same day.

Weekend Story: Enjoying Our Time Together

Last weekend was a bit busy. We had no house guests this time. It was just the hubby and I so we made sure to enjoy our time together.

We drove to Bacoor on Saturday afternoon. On our way home, we stopped by S&R-Aseana Baclaran to grab a quick bite and to check if Centrum (the multivitamin) was on sale. Seeing that it was discounted (Php1,100 from Php1,499.95), we didn’t hesitate to get a pack. It contains two plastic containers with the big one having 365 tablets and a small one (this seems like a bonus container) with 60 tablets inside.

Weekend Story: Alabang Stroll with Friends

Somehow, I felt that last weekend was kinda short (bitin in Filipino slang). On Saturday night, the hubby and I along with our two good friends Nice and Melay drove to Alabang for a stroll before going home in Bacoor.

First, we dropped by Alabang Town Center (ATC) to have my phone battery replaced. It was free of charge because the battery was part of a batch being recalled for safety-related defects. We got my phone back the next day (kudos to the Switch team for the fast service!).

Weekend Story: Banquetta, Otterbox, California Pizza Kitchen and Walking at Night

Last weekend was special. The hubby didn’t have classes yet so we were able to drive to Bacoor on Friday night. On our way home, we stopped over at Banquetta (by Mercato Centrale Group, located just behind CCP) for a quick dinner. I wasn’t very impressed, though. There was very few selection of food and the crowd wasn’t as big as the one at Midnight Mercato in BGC.
