The Last Graduate

The last remaining student in the family will be graduating soon. It’s on May 13th, to be exact. The entire family is beaming with pride. Indeed, we are proud of Jodie, our bunso who is graduating with a degree in Bachelor in Banking and Finance from a state university. We’re also glad that all four of us siblings in the family have already finished college. Our parents have finally fulfilled their dream of giving us the best gift they could give us — education.

Anyway, Jodie’s journey to graduation wasn’t an easy one. For one, she was a working student (though it wasn’t forced on her). She really made use of her time wisely so she could earn money while studying. Her patience and faith were also tested during her final semester where she had to complete her graduation requirements before getting into the list of candidates for graduation. She was lacking her form 137-a, of all documents! I didn’t know what happened there but it must be the result of some kind of negligence from either the university, the high school or my sister herself.

Pretty Little Sister

My pretty little sister J is not so little anymore. Actually, she’s gonna be on her final year in college this year. She’s the youngest in our family but the way she carries herself shows otherwise. My family and I are very proud of her.

J has been taking her studies seriously since she started going to school. During her elementary and high school years, she had those 1st 2nd 3rd place medals and won even more. Now that she’s in college, she continues to be an active student joining in-school organizations and a lot of extra-curricular activities. And when she had the chance to do some part-time work, she also grabbed it. Now she’s earning real money already and gets to support her studies with very little and sometimes zero help from us.

I Lost My Favorite Purse

Some good things never last. So true. That was the exact thought running in my head after I lost my favorite purse at this hotel where my family and I had a good dinner buffet to celebrate my sister’s college graduation. I still can’t figure out how I lost my purse because as far as I remembered, I slid it back into my bag after using it.

Aside from some personal things, a few cash and a check (that I still have to request for a re-issue from the company that gave it to me!), it’s the purse itself that I really regret losing. Yeah, talk about sentimental value. It had been with me for just a few months but I love, love it’s nice color and print and the beautiful butterfly bead work on its back. Awww, I really miss it!
