Weekend Story: A Birthday, A Deathday, and A Bikeday (a.k.a. Philippine Bike Expo 2016)

Last weekend gave the hubby and I lots of happy memories. For one, we were with our family and friends doing fun stuff. By fun stuff, I mean chatting, eating, drinking, laughing, goofing around, and just being there for each other. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Just like how each weekend should be, ours started on Friday night when we met up again with the hubby’s high school barkada at our new fave hang-out place, Borderline Food Park (BPF) in Mandaluyong City. It was our friend Vanessa’s birthday and we celebrated with her amidst the cheery crowd of BFP.

Weekend Story: Mall of Asia + UP Diliman + Manila Ocean Park

Last weekend primarily revolved around these three places: Mall of Asia, UP Diliman, and Manila Ocean Park. The hubby and I didn’t go home in Bacoor intentionally so we could spend more time with our family and friends here in Manila. We were glad to have made such a decision because it turned out to be beneficial not just for our body but also for our soul.

Mall of Asia (MOA)

The hubby didn’t have classes in grad school so we were able to go biking in MOA on Saturday morning. His officemate Giannie joined us there, too. We had breakfast together at our fave Biker’s Cafe before going home.

Weekend Story: Good Times with Friends and Family

So, last weekend was quite busy. The hubby and I went to three different places in two days. Tiring but super fun! I cannot think of a better title for this post because we really did have good times with friends and family. And for that we are thankful.

On Friday night, the hubby and I joined my officemates in an overnight swimming at a private resort in Pansol, Calamba City. It was hosted by another officemate Kuya Rene who went there ahead of us. (Thanks again Sumalinog family for having us!) We ate, swam, and videoke’d the night away. The boys also drank a couple of beers while I settled for a few glasses of ice-cold Sprite. We slept at around 3AM of Saturday and woke up just before our checkout time of 8AM.

Friends Forever

I’m not the friendly type of girl. In fact, I normally get the impression of being either suplada (snobbish) or mahiyain (shy) from people. But once we have gotten along, you’ll see me as a jolly and genuine person. I bet I can make you laugh, too. (My husband has a better sense of humor than I have, though.)

I have many friends, but the ones close to me are just few. Those few close friends that I have, I really treasure and take care of our friendship. I may not be always on their side or see them often, but they know I’m just here and I’ll be there when they’d need me. I am constantly updated of their lives thru social media. I take pride of their achievements and get sad when they have experienced or experiencing something bad.
