Weekend Story: Slow Saturday and Whatta Sunday

We had quite a long weekend. Long, in the sense that, the passing of time felt so slow on Saturday. Or so I assumed. It was the opposite on Sunday, though. The hubby and I got too busy with some activities that before we knew it, it was time to go to bed already.

We stayed in Manila because the hubby had to go on an overnight trip with his masteral class. It was like their field trip cum summer outing. He left on Saturday morning and I got sick the night before. It was just a slight fever (37.6°C) and a few hours after taking a Tempra Forte tablet, I got well already (36.4°C). The cause of my slight fever? Body pains from excessive exercise (zumba + walking) last holiday! Yes, I learned my lesson the hard way. Ouch.

Weekend Story: Post-Valentine Celebration with Family

Last weekend turned out to be hectic but memorable and fun. It was the Valentine’s weekend that people were looking forward to, after all. And speaking of that, how did your celebration go? *insert a sugary sweet smile here*

Just like in the past years, I had work on Valentine’s Day which fell on a Saturday. La Cocina de Tita Moning was full house and if I remember it correctly, we had a total of 30 groups as guests. Saturday is Pampering Day

After a busy work week, I finally had the chance to spend Saturday pampering myself. Thanks to a blogger friend, I was able to go on a road trip and enjoy a feast of Indonesian food at John Bamboo Sate House. Its first and only branch (at present) was located at Nuvali, a bustling, self-sustaining community in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. Not only that, he even got us (me and our other blogger friends) a full body massage at Ritz Spa in Malate. It was oh-so relaxing and rejuvenating, I tell you. How I wish all Saturdays of my life could be like that.

It was my first time to set foot at Nuvali and I so liked it there. There were restaurants, banks, convenience stores and specialty shops and boutiques. The facilities were clean and green. It also had a man-made lake where koi (a kind of ornamental carp) abound. One could feed the cute koi after paying a small fee. There were also boat rides and bicycles for rent. All this and more make it a great place for families (and lovers, too) to spend the day together.
