It’s been three months now since my brother became out of work. He has been applying for jobs at various companies, but it seems luck isn’t on his side yet. He has received several job offers from local recruitment agencies but I don’t want any of them for him because of job security issues. I don’t want him to be a contractual worker again. One in the family is enough.
My brother is a technology and livelihood education (TLE) teacher but doesn’t have a license yet. After graduation, he forewent the opportunity to take the LET and concentrated on his first job instead. He finished his 10-month contract in June.

Office work has been pretty slack the past weeks. When the clock struck five, my officemates and I finally pushed thru our plan to eat at Sincerity Café and Restaurant. I call it our second Binondo food trip because the branch we visited was located in the said place. Actually, it was sort of a thanksgiving dinner for our having kept our jobs following the change in administration that had taken place in June.
After having a fantastic dinner at the restaurant, the boyfriend and I went straight to SM Manila. He bought a new Samsung phone with dual sim capability while I did some impulsive shopping at Surplus. I was proud of myself because I saw a lot of nice items but stuck to the essentials. By essentials, I meant a cream cardigan, a white tank top and a pair of funky sneakers.

I’m a self-confessed movie buff. But unlike others who frequent the cinema house for their regular movie fix, I watch movies online. It’s the most practical choice, ever. But I have to wait a while before getting my hands on new movies as it takes some time before some good soul uploads them for every netizen to enjoy. And unlike others who download movies first before seeing them, I watch mine on site after the buffering has finished.
Speaking of movies, I am definitely trying my luck on Star Movies Movie Marathon promo! Get the details courtesy of PhilStar.com after the jump:

My dad planted some squashes on the vacant lot next to our Cavite house sometime in April, a few days after our move-in. Months later, they started to bear fruits. They continued to supply us with fresh, organic squashes until last Monday when construction began at the lot they were occupying. Everyone in the family got sad, including the neighbors who have also benefited from them.
The good thing is, there are still a few more vegetables left growing in the little garden in front of our house. My parents enjoy planting new crops and tending on them on a daily basis. It serves as their unique form of exercise. The organic produce they get regularly not only improves their health, but also helps keep their food expenses to a minimum.

Four months ago, I had finally decided to be a Globe postpaid subscriber after having been a prepaid subscriber for years. I chose Globe’s My Super Plan 349 which gave me unlimited text to Globe/TM monthly. I noticed that I was consuming more than the one-time charge of P349 and so I opted to get an upgrade. (Any Globe postpaid subscriber can do this.)
I am supposed to be a My Fully Loaded Plan 499 subscriber effective today. That was what the Globe Customer Service representative I talked with on the phone last night told me. I’m taking his word seriously.
