It was an unexpected long weekend for us last weekend. May 1st was a holiday (it being Labor Day) and our work got suspended on May 2nd because our office suddenly decided to do some pest control and fumigation stuff much to our delight. Haha.
We went home in Bacoor on Wednesday night and left for Manila on Friday morning. I took advantage of that day and applied for a driver’s license at LTO-Tayuman. (Which reminds me, I have to blog about my driving journey for posterity’s sake!) The place was already packed with people when we got there at almost 7:30 a.m. (we really planned to go early to finish early).
I thought I’d be able to get the real card that day but only went home with a temporary one. The reason being the PVC card supplies had just arrived that morning and they were prioritizing those who applied weeks before. It was okay for me, though. At least I already have a temporary license which is valid for 30 days. I just have to return to LTO-Tayuman to claim my driver’s license card before my temporary license expires.
The hubby went out-of-town on Saturday and Sunday because it was their office’s team building. I spent most of those days with my family in Manila. What I really loved about this unexpected long weekend was that I had lots of sleep and free time to do nothing. And yes, having that time to get that driver’s license I’ve long wanted for myself. Haha. 🙂
