Last weekend was spent mostly at home. It was another boring weekend that we enjoyed to the fullest. I am actually thankful for the opportunity to laze around and rest. Aside from cooking our meals, I just went the Netflix-and-chill route the entire Saturday, hahaha. I got to finish a TV series and still had time to play games (Tongits and Toy Blast) on my iPad Mini. Meanwhile, my extended family (except for my father who opted to stay home) was having a grand time at some posh resort in Puerto Galera for our cousin’s birthday celebration.
Weekend Story: Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Last weekend was quite boring and laidback but relaxing nonetheless. We ate, slept, and repeated the cycle a couple of times. We only went out of the house when we heard mass and saw the doctor for a medical check-up (all’s good, thank God!). Easy and slow weekends like this comes one in every 10 so we are always grateful.
Weekend Story: Rainy Season is Here
Last weekend was predominantly rainy in Bacoor. That’s why the hubby and I did the best thing of staying at home all weekend, haha. Like we only went out to go to the wet market to buy fresh produce, hear mass, and try out this new resto of his car clubmate at Camella Springville (also in Bacoor). The resto’s name is Covelandia Steakhouse and it serves cheap but yummy steaks and equally yummy mashed potatoes. We highly recommend the place because gravy pa lang nila, ulam na!
Weekend Story: A Long Weekend For Some
Because we’re both working in Manila, the hubby and I were one of the few who had a long weekend last weekend because Monday (June 24th) is Manila Day and Manila Day is a holiday in the whole city of Manila. Ang gulo ba ng sinabi ko?Basta, yun na yun, hahaha. Anyway, we mostly spent the weekend at home except for the time we went out for dinner at this new resto near our place and visited Starbucks Vermosa (along Daang Hari, the one with restrooms that have access codes) with my extended family. It was a fun and relaxing long weekend filled with happy memories created with our loved ones, just the way we wanted it.
Weekend Story: Father’s Day 2019 in Baguio City
For Father’s Day weekend this year, the hubby and I took my parents to Baguio City. It was my father’s first time in the city of pines so the trip was double the fun and excitement. We stayed at Mountainside Lodging House, the place where we stayed in during my last visit to Baguio with the hubby. For this particular visit, we saw The Mansion, Mines View Park, and Burnham Park. We bought pasalubongs and had ice cream at Good Shepherd. We had my parents experience the festive Baguio night market. We dined at Pine Country Steaks and Waffles, Good Taste Restaurant, and Cafe by the Ruins. We also had cakes from Vizco’s. All in all, it was an awesome overnight stay in Baguio appreciating Daddy and honoring his presence in our lives.

Weekend Story: Family Time + Binondo Church + Quick Trip to Divisoria
Last weekend flew by fast and the hubby and I were fine by it. After all, we both felt rested and we got to do stuff. On Saturday, we stayed home and bonded with my extended family. On Sunday, we, along with SIL Albie, went to Binondo Church and Divisoria. Then we had dinner at Side Walk Fud Hub with my SIL and my two sisters Jodie and Nyam.
In Divisoria, I tried looking for shower curtains and Mame’s house clothes (mahigpit ang bilin nya, yung terno daw dapat!) but didn’t find any of them. I ended up buying things for myself instead (which was bad for my wallet). I got new undies and this popular Bali bag whose front design I couldn’t resist. Haaay, parang ang hina ng EQ ko this year! Parang gusto ko na tuloy ulit magshopping fast, haha.
