Weekend Story: CSC R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run 2018 + Cafe Lidia + Taytay Tiangge

Last weekend was quite hectic but fun, exhausting but filled with happy memories. The hubby and I drove home in Bacoor on Friday night and stayed there overnight. We were back in Manila on Saturday night. We would then spend Sunday doing some worthwhile activities: fun running for me and biking for the hubby, dining at Cafe Lidia in Marikina with my in-laws, and shopping at the popular Taytay Tiangge with them as well.

Weekend Story: Chillax in Bacoor + Holidate in Makati with Our Two Mommas

Last long weekend was kinda relaxing and fun. The hubby and I, along with Mame, were in Bacoor as early as Friday night. Aside from a few trips to the wet market and the supermarket, we just spent Saturday and Sunday at home. The hubby went out on Saturday night to meet up with his car club friends while Mame and I stayed home and kept each other company. We drove back to Manila on Sunday night and spent our Monday afternoon in Makati for a holidate with our two mommas. We just had dinner at Via Mare Greenbelt 1 and did a bit of window shopping. We also dropped by Landmark supermarket to buy some supplies. Time spent with family is indeed worth every second. Here’s to more weekends with our loved ones!

Weekend Story: Sunday Roadtrip + La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria + Birthday Lunch + Keto Supplies

Last weekend was epic. It was one of those weekends that we had lots of couple and family time. The hubby and I intentionally extended our weekend by taking a leave from work on Monday. Saya-saya! We stayed overnight in Bacoor on Saturday. We then went on a road trip to the south on Sunday where we passed through Kaybiang Tunnel in Ternate that’s popular among bikers and motorcylists, visited the lovely Saint Francisco Xavier Church and discovered a fantastic Italian restaurant called La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria in Nasugbu, and experienced a foggy Tagaytay on our way back to Manila. It was pure bliss traveling a total of 187km, definitely worth every minute of our time together.

On Monday, the hubby and I did some errand at GSIS head office in Pasay and spent the rest of the day in Mall of Asia (MOA) because, malling. We also met with my SIL Albie there for a dinner at this new resto called Hawker Chan. Like their original branch in Singapore, they offer the world’s cheapest Michelin star meal that is the soya chicken rice (PhP128). We loved it!

Weekend Story: Stuck in Manila + Birthday Party in Tanza, Cavite

Last weekend when the rains hit hard, we were mostly stuck at my PILs’ place in Manila. On Sunday, though, we braved the roads despite the appalling weather to attend the birthday party of a relative’s child in Tanza, Cavite. After the party (which was super fun both for the adults and the children!), we drove back to Manila to rest a bit and prepare for the coming work week.

Weekend Story: Moving Slow and Steady

As it’s only a matter of weeks (or months) before the property where my PILs live (and work as caretakers) gets sold for real, we have started spending a part of our weekends moving stuff from Manila to Bacoor. My PILs can no longer wait to retire in their hometown in Bohol while the hubby and I look forward to living in Bacoor for good (even if it means waking up early in the morning and enduring the heavy traffic at night 5x a week for work). My SIL Albie is staying with us temporarily.

On Saturday, the hubby and I drove home in Bacoor with a few boxes of our personal stuff and those things that my PILs wanted us to keep (I call them forced inheritance!). On Sunday, he would drive to Manila in the morning and go back to Bacoor with my in-laws along with more stuff in the afternoon (because we like to do our moving slow and steady, haha). We would all return to Manila at night on the same day.

Weekend Story: Moving Stuff + Three Events

Last weekend was busy. On Saturday noon, the hubby and I, along with Mame, my brother Dan and my sister Nyam, attended the birthday party of my cousin’s child held at their house in Mandaluyong. From there, the hubby and I joined his car club’s seventh anniversary celebration held at a local bar (also in Mandaluyong). Team Accent Philippines (TAP) is a fellowship of Hyundai Accent car owners from all over the country. They have these what they call “eye balls” where they gather in one place to socialize and exchange car-related news, promos, products, and services. These days, I only get to accompany the hubby during his car club’s big events. I’d rather stay home to NetFlix and chill pag walang pasok sa work. Oo, kinain na rin ako ng sistema, hahaha. 😛

In other news, the hubby and I have recently started to move our things from Manila to Bacoor because we may be living there for good sooner than later. On Sunday morning, we already took some boxes to Bacoor. We also brought our old sala set in Bacoor to my parents’ place in Naic. We were joined by Mame and my brother Dan in this trip as we needed more pairs of hands in carrying stuff. We were done by 4PM and drove straight back to Manila for my PILs’ wedding anniversary dinner. They’ve been married for 47 years already kaya naman isa sila sa mga couples na #relationshipgoals namin ng asawa ko.
