Today is a manic Monday. With the tasks I need to get done at work, “busy” would be a mild adjective to describe the current state of my mind and body. We have this big event being organized in the office and we have yet to get the attendance confirmation of all the guests. Which explains who what my best friend will be until the event is over…
Hopefully, this busyness won’t continue till the end of the week. 🙁
Exactly two months from now, I’ll be walking down the aisle to marry the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I still can’t believe the date is that near. I mean, we started planning our wedding seriously just two weeks months ago. We’re impulsive like that. Haha. Just kidding.
Right now, I feel like a gps trailer tracking device monitoring the movement of all things concerning our wedding. Well, I guess all bride-to-be’s can be paranoid like that, you know. We all want to have a perfect wedding, if there’s ever such a thing.
Today was super fun. The fiancee and I attended two events, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. First was my college friend Matol’s son’s baptismal and second was his officemate’s daughter’s first birthday. Happy occasions are always a sight to behold. If you are invited to witness one, the more delightful it becomes.
I’m glad that despite the many things we needed to do today, we took the time to connect with friends and strengthen the ties that bind us together. During these two events, I couldn’t help but imagine myself (us, actually) organizing events for the family we are raising together. It’s gonna be fun, for sure, and worth all the efforts we’d put into it.
