When is the Time to Help? NOW!

Now, more than ever, is the time to help our fellow Filipinos in the Visayas who have been affected by the recent calamities. Any kind of help is crucial but it’s still best to give what you already have at hand. It doesn’t have to be big or small, cheap or expensive, as long as it’s appropriate, it’s good enough.

Some people prefer to give cash as it’s more convenient to do while others choose to give stuff like clothes, water and food. There are others, though, who want to give their time and energy by joining relief and rehabilitation efforts. No matter what kind of help you give, as long as it comes from your generous heart, God (and the calamity victims) will surely appreciate it.

How to Donate Cash to the Red Cross

Yesterday morning, the sun already showed up at my side of Manila. I couldn’t help but let out a big sigh of relief when I saw it myself. I dunno but the mere sight of the rising sun felt like the “spring of hope” to me, if you know what I mean.

I know at this moment, a lot of Filipinos are trying hard to rebuild their (homes and) lives and move forward after the terrible August 7 flooding. Help is still very much encouraged. In fact, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), along with many other charitable organizations, is still accepting donations in cash and in kind. Here’s how we can donate cash donations to the Red Cross through our mobile phones (saw this in my Facebook timeline last night):
