Weekend Story: Father’s Day 2019 in Baguio City

For Father’s Day weekend this year, the hubby and I took my parents to Baguio City. It was my father’s first time in the city of pines so the trip was double the fun and excitement. We stayed at Mountainside Lodging House, the place where we stayed in during my last visit to Baguio with the hubby. For this particular visit, we saw The Mansion, Mines View Park, and Burnham Park. We bought pasalubongs and had ice cream at Good Shepherd. We had my parents experience the festive Baguio night market. We dined at Pine Country Steaks and Waffles, Good Taste Restaurant, and Cafe by the Ruins. We also had cakes from Vizco’s. All in all, it was an awesome overnight stay in Baguio appreciating Daddy and honoring his presence in our lives.

Weekend Story: Chillax in Bacoor + Holidate in Makati with Our Two Mommas

Last long weekend was kinda relaxing and fun. The hubby and I, along with Mame, were in Bacoor as early as Friday night. Aside from a few trips to the wet market and the supermarket, we just spent Saturday and Sunday at home. The hubby went out on Saturday night to meet up with his car club friends while Mame and I stayed home and kept each other company. We drove back to Manila on Sunday night and spent our Monday afternoon in Makati for a holidate with our two mommas. We just had dinner at Via Mare Greenbelt 1 and did a bit of window shopping. We also dropped by Landmark supermarket to buy some supplies. Time spent with family is indeed worth every second. Here’s to more weekends with our loved ones!

Weekend Story: Moving Stuff + Three Events

Last weekend was busy. On Saturday noon, the hubby and I, along with Mame, my brother Dan and my sister Nyam, attended the birthday party of my cousin’s child held at their house in Mandaluyong. From there, the hubby and I joined his car club’s seventh anniversary celebration held at a local bar (also in Mandaluyong). Team Accent Philippines (TAP) is a fellowship of Hyundai Accent car owners from all over the country. They have these what they call “eye balls” where they gather in one place to socialize and exchange car-related news, promos, products, and services. These days, I only get to accompany the hubby during his car club’s big events. I’d rather stay home to NetFlix and chill pag walang pasok sa work. Oo, kinain na rin ako ng sistema, hahaha. šŸ˜›

In other news, the hubby and I have recently started to move our things from Manila to Bacoor because we may be living there for good sooner than later. On Sunday morning, we already took some boxes to Bacoor. We also brought our old sala set in Bacoor to my parents’ place in Naic. We were joined by Mame and my brother Dan in this trip as we needed more pairs of hands in carrying stuff. We were done by 4PM and drove straight back to Manila for my PILs’ wedding anniversary dinner. They’ve been married for 47 years already kaya naman isa sila sa mga couples na #relationshipgoals namin ng asawa ko.

Weekend Story: Rainy Weekend in Bacoor

Because June has officially started, rains have become a regular thing in this side of the world. The hubby and I drove to Bacoor last Friday night and spent the weekend at home. We only went out to buy some groceries and after that, enjoyed the company of each other inside the four corners of our humble abode. My PILs joined us on Saturday and we all went back to Manila on Sunday night. It was quite relaxing and fun. The only downside of the situation was that the continuous drizzle made us eat more than we used to. Good thing we had enough food in the pantry and my MIL did all the cooking as usual. Love her talaga! Haha.

Weekend Story: Happy Fiesta, PeƱaranda!

The hubby and I traveled to my hometown in Nueva Ecija last weekend. We were joined by Mame, my aunt Yolly, and my MIL. It was MIL’s first time to visit PeƱaranda and do the fiesta thing with us. By fiesta thing, I meant hopping from one house to another to eat and socialize. I’m glad that our trip went smoothly and safely.

Catching up with relatives and friends is always fun. Doing it during the fiesta (read: Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi) is even more so because the atmosphere is festive and there’s lots of scrumptious food on the table. We sometimes even get to take home some food because our relatives and friends say so. (So sweet of them!) And because there’s too many houses to visit with so little time, it is inevitable that a friend makes “tampo” to Mame because she has too many friends in PeƱaranda (even if it’s my father’s hometown, not hers) and she usually promises to visit them all. Haha.

Weekend Story: Hooked on Netflix + More Time with Family

Last weekend was spent in Bacoor with Mame and my sister Jodie. We drove there on Saturday night and headed back to Manila on Sunday night. It was just an overnight stay that saw us (me, in particular) getting hooked on Netflix and just lazing around because, weekend. We are grateful for the happy moments we shared just eating, sleeping, and of course, watching a lot of Netflix. The husband, on the other hand, was more productive than the rest of us as he got to wash his car and do the laundry (with some help from Mame). I love my housemate and our house guests. Haha.
