Weekend Story: Easy Breezy

Last weekend was easy breezy and started early for the hubby and me. On Friday night, we met up with friends to celebrate the birthday of our friend Raffy. He’s the chairman of a barangay here in Manila and he just turned 39. From our meeting place which was their barangay hall, we transferred to a nearby restaurant to have dinner and some wine. We were a group of six and we spent time until a little past midnight. From the restaurant, the hubby and I drove to Bacoor and stayed there until Sunday night.

Weekend Story: Making Time to be Home

Last weekend flew by swiftly. The hubby and I drove to Bacoor on Friday night with a stop over at S&R Baclaran to buy supplies. We would then spend the entire Saturday and most of Sunday at home. We only went out when we heard the mass on Sunday morning and bought some more supplies at the Robinsons supermarket near our village. These past weekends, we’ve been hooked on our smart TV. (We use it alternately: he browses Netflix while I turn to this cool site online for my movie fix; when I’m in front of the TV, he’s with our iPad and vice versa.) I also started crocheting again because I noticed that my yarn supplies were already collecting dust under the bed where I placed them, haha. I hope to finish my new crochet project (using a stitch I just learned) in the coming weeks.

Weekend Story: Car Club Meet-Up, Calda Pizza, and Some Diet Change

Last weekend was quiet and relaxing. Friday night saw the hubby and me joining my officemates in traveling to Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas to visit the wake of my officemate Gerlie’s father. From Batangas, we drove to Bacoor (but only after dining at a McDonalds store for the requisite pagpag practice) with our good friend Carmela who also joined the wake visit because she and Gerlie’s sister are officemates also. She would then leave us for Manila on Saturday morning just in time for the arrival of Mame and my sister Jodie who planned to spend the rest of the weekend with us. That night, the hubby and I went out to hear the anticipated mass at Madonna del Amore Quasi Parish in Las Piñas and attend another Team Accent Philippines (TAP) – South Chapter meet-up at Manong’s Grill in Alabang where we got to meet and mingle with more TAP members.

Weekend Story: CSC Fun Run 2017, SM 3-Day Sale, and Love You to the Stars and Back Movie

Last long weekend was fun. On Friday, my younger sister Jodie treated the entire family to a hearty lunch because she has recently been promoted at work. The hubby and I then drove to Bacoor at night and spent the whole Saturday there. We got back to Manila early morning of Sunday because I had a fun run to attend. (The last I joined one was eons ago.) The rest of the morning was spent sleeping at my PILs’ place dahil napagod ako sa paglakad-takbo, hahaha.

In the afternoon of Sunday, the hubby and I, along with Mame and my brother Dan went to SM Manila to shop, eat, and watch a movie. Love You to the Stars and Back was a nice film. I appreciated how it was light and compelling at the same time. No wonder it’s been receiving good reviews online. Anyway, SM Manila was jampacked with people that time because it was the final day of the 3-day mallwide sale. I was able to score four dresses whose prices were all under P500. Not bad, ayt?

Weekend Story: Eating and More Eating, Watching and More Watching

I can’t believe it’s almost weekend again! And a long one still. This post is late but it’s better late than never. Last weekend saw the hubby and me just eating and watching movies. Oh, we did go out thrice pala pero para kumain din, hahaha. The first one was when we tried out this Japanese resto at this newly-opened mall near our village. The second one was when we met up with his car club friends. And finally, when we went malling at Alabang Town Center after hearing the anticipated mass at our neighborhood parish church.

Aside from watching a total of seven movies last weekend, the hubby and I also got to watch the season finale of Game of Thrones which was quite intense. (Personally, I can’t wait for Season 8 to arrive!!!) We drove to Bacoor on Saturday afternoon and headed back to Manila on Monday night. It was another refreshing and sulit weekend!

Weekend Story: Food Trips + Unli Movies

Last long weekend was relaxing. I think it had to do with the weather, our house guests (Mame, Daddy, and my sister Jodie), and the things we did. Like going on food trips in BF Homes, Parañaque and in Alabang. Like watching movies on Netflix (thanks to its 1-month free trial, haha). Like spending time with my family, just talking to and laughing with them. Like cuddling with the hubby. Like cooking for my loved ones and washing the dishes. Like listening to the sound of the pouring rain outside. Like doing nothing and just feeling the moment. Overall, it was a long weekend well spent. And as early as now, I’m already looking forward to the next one!
