Weekend Story: Wedding Anniversary Celebration (Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay)

Last weekend was declared an #EandEHoliday. March 17, 2019 was our 7th wedding anniversary, after all. And so we decided last minute to celebrate by having a staycation at Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay. Best decision, ever! I found a good deal from Deal Grocer and got a room for the hubby and me at just PhP6,250. It was actually good for three persons na but that third person is yet to be born in this world (wishful thinking!), haha. We had a fantastic stay at the hotel, got to dine at Neri’s Not So Secret Garden (bilang fan ako ng #WaisNaMisis), and visited Caleruega Retreat Center to pray and give thanks to the Lord for our awesome seven years of marriage. (I even bumped into mommy blogger Badet there who was with her family!) To more happy years together!

Weekend Story: Captain Marvel Movie Date and Get-Together with the Legardas

Last weekend was quite busy, event-wise. On Saturday, the hubby and I took care of household chores (this included giving our dog Jasper a bath and going to the wet market with Mame) and some errands. I also got to go on a movie date with Mame and my sister Jodie. Captain Marvel was entertaining and we were wowed by Brie Larson’s character’s amazing powers, ha! The movie was good, at least in our collective opinion. Movie reviews online say otherwise, though.

On Sunday, I got to do some laundry (one month’s worth of my office clothes!) in the morning and joined the hubby and my SIL Albie in going to Manila Polo Club in Makati in the afternoon for a get-together with our former bosses — the Legardas. There were lots of laughter, conversation, picture-taking, and of course, food…and for a moment, I forgot I was on a diet, hahaha.

Weekend Story: A Christening, A Birthday, and A Few Other Stuff

Last long weekend was quite hectic. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with Mame, went to the wet market in the morning to buy fresh produce. We also drove to Alabang in the afternoon to hear mass and go malling. Actually, it was just Mame and I who roamed around Alabang Town Center (ATC) because the hubby met up with his car club friends at this restaurant within the Filinvest area and he just picked us up at the mall when it was time for us to go home.

On Sunday, our first activity was the christening of a friend’s miracle baby scheduled around lunchtime. (The event was filled with good vibes and I even cried a little hearing the very emotional prayer of our friend mostly expressing her immense joy for finally having a child after so many years of trying to conceive. God really has wonderful plans for all of us!) We would then join the family at night for the birthday dinner of my brother Dan at…where else but our new fave Betoy’s Restaurant Molino! 😛

Weekend Story: Chillax in Bacoor

Last weekend was all about family bonding. The hubby and I went to the wet market along with Mame on Saturday morning. We would then go to SM Molino in the afternoon to buy some supplies, this time with my SIL Albie. The three of us also heard the anticipated mass that night at this church near our place and met up with Mame and my sister Jodie for dinner at Betoy’s Restaurant Molino after. Mame worked last Valentine’s Day at her friend’s flower shop in Kawit and she used a portion of her income to treat us (she insisted). When it’s Mame’s treat, it’s sky’s the limit, kaya ang saya-saya, hahaha. Buti na lang, affordable sa Betoy’s at masarap pa!

Weekend Story: Tagaytay with Tropang Ramen + Another Resto To Love in Bacoor (Betoy’s Restaurant Molino)

Last weekend was carefree and fun. The hubby and I spent most of our Saturday with our good friends Nice and Melay in Tagaytay. Our Sunday was spent with my family. We were not able to go to the wet market and to church this time and instead, we just went grocery shopping and did household chores together. We even got to drive to Naic in the morning with my parents to pick up a few items from our family home there. We plan to have it rented out soon so we’re slowly moving things out of the house.
