I have always thought of myself as a simple person. While I also have an eye for the finer things in life, I make sure to live within (and sometimes even below!) my means. In fact, I still hate it when I go impulse shopping, but lately, I’ve been reminding myself that it’s okay to indulge once in a while and reward myself for my hard work all these years. So yeah, I can say I’m still the simple Edel that my family and true friends know by heart.
5 Organizing Rules I Live By
In my continued attempt to live simply but smartly as a way to introduce minimalism into my life (still a Pinoy minimalist wannabe here), I’ve embraced some organizing rules that have been very effective in making my life easier. Here are five that I live and swear by:
Minimalism and Me
Now, more than ever, things are getting clearer to me. It seems like I now know what I really want. Just like my practice to live a simple and uncomplicated life, minimalism is a perspective/philosophy that can be done and applied to one’s life. However, it’s more serious and requires discipline and sustenance.
From de-cluttering and conserving resources to changing one’s money practices and overall lifestyle for the better, minimalism has so much to offer. It’s a growing lifestyle that has given a lot of people (they call themselves “minimalists”) greater happiness, meaning, fulfillment and control of their lives.
