Last weekend was peaceful and meaningful. First off, my SIL Albie flew to Bohol to see my PILs on Maundy Thursday while the hubby came back from Bohol (same reason) on Good Friday. I didn’t feel alone on the day my SIL left because I was with my extended family and of course, our dog Jasper, haha. I also did a lot of cooking because I realized it’s something I’m willing to do freely and I’m kinda good at it, ha! 😛
Weekend Story: Holy Week 2016
Last long weekend in observance of Lent was quiet, meaningful, and fun. The hubby and I had lots of rest and lots of time to bike together and bond with our family.
On Maundy Thursday, we did Visita Iglesia on two wheels. It felt good to bike from one church to another. We completed the requisite 14 churches and biked from Manila to Pasay and back.
Holy Week 2014
We had a simple but fun and meaningful Holy Week break. The hubby and I were joined by my two siblings Jodie and Son at home in Bacoor. But we went to Cavite only after we finished the traditional Visita Iglesia in Manila. We visited a total of seven churches, as usual.
my energetic mom joined us during the Visita Iglesia
On Good Friday, we just stayed at home the entire morning and early afternoon. I baked a chocolate cake out of boredom and it turned out so good. We ate it after every meal until the very last slice was eaten up.
