Weekend Story: Birthday Weekend in Baguio City + Meet Up with A Blogger Friend

It was just an impromptu trip but it turned out to be so much fun because, well, I was with the hubby. So, I celebrated my 35th birthday last Friday (October 12th) through a simple family dinner where I had food delivered via @papacarbsph on IG. Sarap ng food nila ha, at mura pa! The prices of their dishes good for 12pax range from PhP699 to PhP1,499 only. I will definitely order from them again!

Weekend Story: Pippo’s 6th Birthday in Heaven + Roadtrip to Liliw, Laguna + Feast Day of St. Michael the Archangel in San Miguel, Manila

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it, but every time the hubby and I observe the birth/death anniversary of our little angel (September 28th) and the day falls on a weekend or falls close to the weekend, we take a leave from work, go to a church we haven’t visited before, and just spend time together. It’s been sort of a tradition for us as we go on with our lives here on earth without our son Pippo. So, last Friday, we did just that by going on a roadtrip to Liliw, Laguna.

Weekend Story: Mercado del Lago in Bicutan, Taguig City

Last weekend was a-okay. The hubby and I got to go home in Bacoor as early as Friday night. On Saturday, we went out to go to Alabang Town Center (ATC), say a prayer at the church beside it, and check out Mercado del Lago in Bicutan, Taguig City. We would go back to Manila on Sunday noon to have lunch with my in-laws at SM Manila and we would sleep earlier than usual to prepare ourselves physically for the coming work week.

Weekend Story: Rainy, Windy, and Muddy

Last weekend was not so bad despite the onslaught of the typhoon (Ompong) and its aftermath. The hubby and I drove home in Bacoor on Friday night and went back to Manila on Sunday night. We were just at home doing household chores, eating, Netflix-ing, and cuddling because, maginaw, hahaha. When the rains and the winds stopped on Saturday afternoon (but it was muddy everywhere!), we went out of the house to do all these stuff: hear the anticipated mass, refuel the car, buy water, have dinner at Betoy’s restaurant (Molino branch), go to Evia (the mall), and get some supplies at Rustan’s supermarket located in the same mall.

Weekend Story: Rizal Road Trip (Antipolo + Taytay)

The hubby and I hit the road again on Sunday. This time around, we were with Mame and my sister Jodie. After spending Friday night and the whole of Saturday in Bacoor, we traveled to Antipolo on Sunday morning to hear mass and light some candles for our personal intentions. The Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage was teeming with people during our visit. And somehow we felt good just by being with them as we heard the mass and said our individual prayers. It was a unanimous decision to buy some suman sa ibos and adobong kasuy after leaving the church. We intentionally looked for the stall of a friend’s cousin so we could get a discount on our purchase, hahaha.

From Antipolo, we drove to Taytay to have lunch and found Canterberry Bar and Restaurant via Zomato app. We had simple but delicious meals at affordable prices. We also grant Mame’s request to shop at Taytay Tiangge. All four of us ended up taking home a bag of clothes each, with my sister Jodie having the most number of items bought (as I had expected).

Weekend Story: CSC R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run 2018 + Cafe Lidia + Taytay Tiangge

Last weekend was quite hectic but fun, exhausting but filled with happy memories. The hubby and I drove home in Bacoor on Friday night and stayed there overnight. We were back in Manila on Saturday night. We would then spend Sunday doing some worthwhile activities: fun running for me and biking for the hubby, dining at Cafe Lidia in Marikina with my in-laws, and shopping at the popular Taytay Tiangge with them as well.
