New Zumba Instructor

As I’ve said in my previous post, we have a new zumba instructor. If before, we had a gay one, now we have a girl. She’s a student. When we had a little chitchat during one of our water breaks, I found out she’s on her final year in college taking up HRM.

We call our zumba instructor by the name of Tyn. Teaching zumba is her part-time job. Somehow, she reminds me of myself when I was still in college as I used to work part-time, too, to support my studies. It started on my third year. Back then, I really had to do it because my father had lost his job. But I digress.

Zumba-ing Again

I stopped doing zumba the second half of last year because I got too busy at work. Okay, make that “I got lazy.” Actually, not so lazy because even if I didn’t do as much zumba as I could, I was able to lose weight and that says a lot about my level of discipline and determination, right? Haha.

Anyway, two weeks ago, I started zumba-ing again. Just like last year, our little zumba club does it every Tuesday and Thursday. We still use the same venue and the same old sound system though I think it would be cool if we could use something like a stagepas 500 at guitar center for a nicer-sounding music. But that’s just me.

Getting Fit with Zumba

Zumba is a Colombian dance fitness program developed in the 1990s. It combines Latin and international music for a more fun and interesting workout. A lot of people swears by its effectiveness in losing weight and getting those shapely curves.

I first tried zumba during a fitness event I attended before. A friend reintroduced me to this unique form of exercise a few weeks go and when I tried it again, I got hooked. Actually, I just wanted to lose weight and harness my dancing skills (or lack thereof). Haha.
