It’s my birthday today and I have a thousand reasons to celebrate it. I’m now a 28-year-old lady but still feel and act like a teenager most of the time (teheee). I don’t expect any gifts from anyone but I expect warm greetings to fill my special day from morning until night.
At 28, I’m already engaged to the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Soon we’ll start planning our wedding that’s set for next year. (Yes, we do love to cram, haha). I’m just so glad that at this age, I have already accomplished quite a handful for myself and for my family. I may not be rich by society’s standards, but I’m not poor, either. I think I just have enough to live a decent, comfortable life and provide for the needs of my parents and my two college student siblings.
Whenever my birthday comes, I make it a point to thank God for adding another year to my life, for the gift of family and true friends, for the blessings that continue to come my way, and for His undying love for me. I know in my heart that He’ll continue to shower me with everything I need. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
I can say that at 28, I’m more blessed and wiser. I was overwhelmed and thankful for the many opportunities (both income and non-income) that came my way in the past months. In the same manner, I have learned a lot from my past mistakes and a few wrong decisions I made when I was still 27.
At 28, my personal goals continue to increase in number and grow in size, but one thing’s for sure, I’ll remain as the same Edel that my family and friends adore, love and care for. Nothing will change for the worse and instead, everything will be done for the better.
Here’s to more birthdays for me!
P.S. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who sent their greetings my way. You know who you are. 🙂
happy birthday! 😀
Thank you! 🙂
