GM Diet Day-by-Day Account: Day 1
I survived Day 1! 🙂
Yes, you read that right. I followed the recommended diet sans deviations. I’m so proud of myself! The challenge continues today, January 23, 2013, my Day 2 on the GM Diet.
Here’s what Day 2 says:
Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.
Day 2 Weight: 137.5 (lost 1.5 lbs. since Day 1)
Today’s breakfast consisted of baked baby potatoes seasoned with a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of olive oil and some rosemary. For my morning snack, I had a bowl of fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes. I also added juice of a calamansi to it to serve as dressing. My lunch consisted of cooked vegetables in the form of a meatless chopsuey seasoned with salt. I had another serving of it for dinner. Of course, I drank enough water after every meal to complete the required 10 glasses of water.
I had zero exercise today. But I went grocery shopping with the hubby in the evening and that could pass as walking, ayt? Haha.
So far, I’m getting by.
Breakdown of Actual Expenses:
1 bowl of baked baby potatoes (c/o office)
1 bowl of fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes (c/o my MIL)
2 servings of cooked vegetables, P30
Total Expenses: P30
I have to admit I had a hard time eating veggies. I’m not much of a fan to begin with. Surprisingly, though, I didn’t feel any food cravings the entire day. I hope Day 3 won’t be as difficult (mainly because of the vegetables) as today. Wish me luck, people! 🙂
P.S. I took my weight using a bathroom scale first thing in the morning, with an empty stomach.
