Our family’s observance of Holy Week in the past years has been as predictable as the sun rising in the east. We normally do Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday, have our family outing on Black Saturday, and hear mass on Easter Sunday. Last week’s Holy Week observance was no different. The hubby and I did Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday and after that, drove straight home in Bacoor with Mame and my sister Jodie. The rest of the family (both Mabalays and Techos) would follow us in Bacoor on Saturday morning for our family outing at Monterra Private Resort in Imus, Cavite. We weren’t able to hear mass on Easter Sunday, though, because our family outing this year was an overnight stay instead of just a day tour. But we made sure to drop by the church to pray on our way back to Manila on Sunday afternoon because the oldies said so.
Below are photos from our long weekend:

We had a great time at Monterra Private Resort. The place was well-maintained and the young caretakers (a husband and wife duo) were friendly and helpful. Actually, naka-chikahan pa nga sila ni Mame at ni MIL kaya nalaman na namin ang kwento ng buhay nila and I’m sure alam na rin nila ang kwento ng buhay namin, hahaha. We brought in food and drinks (and the entire house). We cooked our meals there and even had dinner boodle fight style. We swam in the pool which was thankfully big enough for our group of 10. The singers in the family had videoke until 10PM (cut-off time). We checked in at 11am of Saturday and checked out 11am the next day. The rental fee was reasonable considering our length of stay which was exactly 24 hours. In other private resorts especially the hot spring ones in Laguna, a stay of 24 hours is charged double the normal rates already. So I guess we had a good deal with Monterra.
In other news, April na…waaaaaaaah!
Have a productive week, friends! 🙂
May you choose happiness always,
Ang saya ng Holy Week break nyo!
Masaya na magulo na masaya, hehe. Thanks, Mylene! 🙂
Hindi ko alam kung bakit di ko makita ang Comment section sa Palawan post mo. Ibulong mo naman sa akin how much yung pearls hehehe! One of the reasons why I want to go to Palawan is also because of the pearls! Hehehehe. And good to know na pwede pa rin pala ang DIY don. Lahat kasi ng nakikita ko before, puro package tour.
And happy anniversary sa inyo!
Thanks for letting me know, sis. Naayos ko na sya, hehe. About the SSPs, I just emailed you. 🙂
I hope April is starting great for you and your family. Holy Week isn’t widely observed here, so I took the liberty of a vacation during that time. Unfortunately, I got sick too :(.
Thank you, Kayni! Hope you’re okay now. Take care, always! 🙂
Ang exciting ng Holy Week. Ako, naglinis ng buong bahay. HAHAHA!
P.S. Next time, nakatayo na dapat ang bikini pose. :p
Naku Je, matagal-tagal pa yung nakatayong bikini pose, hahaha. Ang hirap magpapayat, waaaaah! 😛
