Last weekend turned out to be a long one for me because our office held its strategic planning and workshop (read: team building) on June 25-26 which fell on a Monday and a Tuesday. The chosen venue was the breathtaking heritage resort called Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in the sleepy little town of Bagac, Bataan. So, after spending a rainy weekend in Bacoor with the hubby, I packed my bag for the team building and created happy memories with the people from work (we were a group of 15).
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar was a great place, an ideal respite from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. After settling in our beautiful villa called Casa Meycauyan, we did the fascinating heritage tour and just took in the sights and enjoyed the vintage vibe. While we could get used to slow living in a place filled with lovely old houses and gifted with a fantastic view of the West Philippine Sea, we had to go back to Manila and continue with our busy (yet most of the time fulfilling) lives as civil servants.
Below are some photos from our office team building (some were photos from my phone, others were taken using my officemates’):
saw this UP logo and I just had to take a photo!

On our way back to Manila, we had a late lunch at Slabs Diner and Steakhouse in Subic (pricey but delish food, fast and friendly service!). Then, we had a quick stop over at Puregold Duty Free located a few blocks away to buy some pasalubong, haha. Traffic was heavy and the rains were pouring hard in some parts of Bataan and NLEX but we all managed to get home under 9PM naman.

Enjoy the rest of the week, friends! 🙂
May you choose happiness always,
I have always wanted to go there pero parang ang layo at may kamahalan din! 🙂
May kamahalan nga, hehe. Pero okay naman ang surroundings, nakakarelax. Pati yung beach nag-enjoy kami kasi maski maalon ay malinis ang tubig at yung seafloor is buhangin, not bato. 🙂
