Weekend Story: Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day 2021

Last weekend was a long one. Friday was Chinese New Year (CNY) and Sunday was Valentine’s Day. We did not celebrate both occasions, though. We’re non-believers, I guess. Haha, just kidding. Our CNY for instance, was spent through a quick visit to St. Pio Shrine in Libis. I was with the hubby and my MIL. It’s been a while since the last time we went there.

On Saturday, we took baby NJ to her pedia for her routine check-up and varicella vaccine. We also went to the condo on Saturday afternoon to swim in the pool and check out the Valentine’s bazaar there. We even got to pick up the birthday gift for baby NJ from her godfather who lives in the same condo complex as ours.

On Sunday, the hubby and I woke up early to buy flowers and chocolates for my sister Jodie whose boyfriend had asked us to do so because he’s based in the US and wanted to surprise her. The surprise was a success and we even took a short video of Jodie’s reactions for her boyfriend to see. It was a good feeling to have contributed to the couple’s joy on V-Day. As for the hubby, he got each of the girls in the family a long-stemmed rose and we all thanked him for his sweetness. I think baby NJ appreciated her father’s effort, too. Haha.

Below are some photos from our long weekend:

I missed Pancake House’s super tasty and creamy potato salad!

Have a fun and peaceful week, friends! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,
