Our Green Room

The master’s bedroom in our Bacoor home is green-themed. We didn’t really plan for it. It just so happened that one thing led to another. Before we knew it, we already had a green-themed room. Haha.

Nevertheless, we love how our room looks now. Green is easy on the eyes. It’s also the color of the environment, of Mother Nature. I just love green, period. 🙂

Daddy and Baby Bonding

My pregnancy is getting more and more exciting each day. To give you an update, our baby is now making its small presence felt inside my womb. It now makes small kicks and pokes me from inside the amniotic sac where it develops and grows.

I couldn’t describe the joy I had the first time I felt our baby moved. It was a great feeling, something that I will treasure forever. These days, the hubby is getting its fair share of our baby’s precious movements, too. In fact, he now has a schedule for their daddy-and-baby bonding. As early as now, I can already imagine them having a great time tickling each other if our baby’s a girl. Or playing with a duncan raptor yoyo together at the playground near our house if it’s a boy.

Investing on Luxury Furniture

Our Bacoor home, despite its small size, is slowly turning into a lovely dwelling for a small family like we have at present. Home improvement projects really do wonders to a home. As I’ve mentioned in my past blogs, our back extension, which we had improved recently, now serves as our kitchen. It’s tiny, but it has all the basics a homemaker wannabe like me needs.

For our next home improvement project, we plan to focus on our living room. If we’d have enough resources this year, we want to invest on luxury furniture. Not something overly expensive, though. We just want something sturdy and beautiful that would last us for years. It’s gonna be worth the money, right? Like one of those Marge carson sofas I saw online the other day. I can imagine it to be perfect for our tiny living room. Yes, our home furnishings have to be small for them to fit in our tiny living space.

Fun Saturday

Weekend at home is always fun. Like this Saturday when the workers are still here finishing our back extension which now serves as our kitchen. I saw the improvements last night and was really pleased. I didn’t know such a small space would transform into something beautiful. A small kitchen that has all the basic things a domestic goddess to-be would need. Just lovely.

The hubby’s family are here with us, too. That means the house is more alive than ever. My MIL is currently busy cooking our lunch. I got spared from cooking, yay! My FIL is talking with the workers while my one and only SIL is busy tinkering with her new Blackberry phone. And me? I’m in front of the PC documenting what’s happening around me at this point in time. Haha.

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is just around the corner. In our family, we don’t have an elaborate celebration for this occasion. We just greet our father and share a special meal and that’s it. Simple but meaningful.

But then of course, as you grow up, things change. You tend to be more generous and caring. For this Father’s Day, I want to give my father a nice gift. Something functional that he could use for a long time. Since he loves to smoke (his only vice that he can’t quit from), I plan to give him an electronic cigarette or some fuente cigars. Hmmm, I think the former suits him better. And it might just pave the way for him to stop smoking permanently.

Back to School

In our family, two of my siblings are going back to school. One is a teacher, the other is a 3rd year college student. I envy them somehow, because I’ve long wanted to go back to school by getting an MA degree. So many things to do, so little time. Hay.

My dream to pursue higher studies was officially put on hold when I got pregnant. I remember my Superf and I planned to enroll this June but fate and consequences had their way. My Superf is getting married this December and is currently busy planning for her dream wedding. She’s also busy with some charity work, like she’s been canvassing for discount computers and school supplies to donate to a group of less fortunate kids. Given her business, it’s also impossible for her to enroll at this time. No worries, though. I know that sooner or later our dreams will come true.
