Goodbye, Sun Cellular!

Last night was historic. I finally had my Sun Cellular subscription cut. And for good. I used to have two Sun lines (Plan 350), one for me and one for my brother. But eventually I got tired of it and thought it no longer had any use to me. I only use one phone now, before it was two.

For 30 months (the standard lock-in period), Sun gave me satisfactory service. I can’t really rave about it. They used to disappoint me quite often. But that was before, when their signal was still not that strong. I heard they’ve improved greatly now, but unfortunately, I don’t need them anymore.

Pacquiao Vs. Bradley Boxing Match

This Sunday is going to be special. At least for my hubby who’s been supporting Pacquiao’s every boxing match since time immemorial (kidding!). He subscribed to paper view for the Pacquiao-Bradley boxing match so I’m expecting some loud noise in our Bacoor home come Sunday morning. My FIL will be with us so two men shouting on TV would be quite something.

But no, I’m not complaining. It’s all fun. Even I watch Pacquiao matches though I don’t get too engrossed over it. I still think it’s a guy thing to be hooked on boxing. Haha. If I get bored watching, maybe I’ll just surf the net and try looking for new business ideas (I want some extra income!). Perhaps, I could start by browsing through business must-haves, something like a vonage business phone service or a faster internet connection (than what we have at present).

Job Hunting in June

My sister N is currently looking for a job. She’s been given an opportunity to work for this huge local bank recently but as fate would have it, she didn’t make it. How sad. I so feel for her.

But as they say, if it’s meant for you you’re gonna have it. And if it’s not, let go of it and move on. I told her to just keep on looking and to never give up as her time will surely come.

New Instagram User

I’ve recently switched to iPhone and is currently exploring its awesome features. I learned how to use this phone when hubby got one a few years ago (it was a 3GS, now he owns a 4S). I also owned an iPod Touch 4G before but decided to leave it to my siblings when I got tired of it.

iPhone has so much apps to entertain people. At present, I’m hooked on Instagram. Well, I’m not really hooked, I just enjoy staring at nice photos uploaded by the inspiring people I follow. Haha. Oftentimes, I run out of photos (and ideas for captioning) to share. But it doesn’t keep me from checking Instagram whenever I’m online.

In Sickness and In Health

I’ve recently found out through my blood-related uncle that her wife (my aunt), who’s been battling with stage 3 breast cancer for more than two years now, has been diagnosed with bone cancer. What the…? It didn’t sink into my mind instantly, at first I thought he was kidding. But when I re-read his SMS, I felt every word was in a kind of soul wrenching pain.

I know my uncle loves his wife so much and he’ll do everything to save her. I also know that he did so much for her to get cured but to no avail. You see, my aunt has even developed a new kind of cancer, and to think it’s the most painful of all the cancers known to man today. I admire my uncle for standing by her side all through these years. It’s very hard to be in his situation.

My Mame

She was at the ripe age of 25 when she had me in her womb. I was the eldest and so I was able to share a lot of “firsts” with her. I don’t remember so much about my babyhood but because of her stories and the pictures that went with them, I was able to see a clear image of how the early stages of my life unfolded under her care.

I have a close relationship with my mom. I guess it’s because she has always confided in me. She’s been brutally honest with me ever since. I love that trait of her. In fact, it was the reason why I also shared everything about myself with her. When your mom treats you like her bestfriend, you couldn’t help but do the same to her.
