Weekend Story: Crazy Workload, ASEAN Summit Gala Dinner, and Other Stuff

I was swamped with work the entire month of April. Actually, I was crazy busy in the office even before that time. We were handling five big events and my officemates and I were really having a hard time managing our time. Like it was beyond-what-our-human-bodies-could-take kind of thing already. There was just so much to do with so little time and energy from our part. We prepared early but it seemed all our preparations weren’t enough. After publishing my first weekend story for the month, I couldn’t get myself to publish the next ones so I decided to just publish them all in one go today. Yes, only today when I’m as free as a bird again, work wise.

Weekend Story: Short and Productive

Last weekend flew by quickly. The hubby and I drove home in Bacoor on Saturday morning only to be advised by my boss that I had to go back to Manila the next day for a short notice, work-related meeting at PICC. I badly needed to rest but the said meeting was crucial in discharging my tasks for our upcoming events so off I went. I told myself to make bawi na lang once all of our five ASEAN-related events are over and done with. Despite my crazy sched that weekend, the hubby and I were able to squeeze in attending the anticipated mass at this new church in Las PiƱas and a meetup with Team Accent Philippines (TAP a.k.a the car group he wants to be part of).

Weekend Story: Holy Week 2017

Our Holy Week this year was spent with family. The hubby and I, along with Mame and my sister Jodie, did Visita Iglesia in Cavite on Maundy Thursday. We started with our neighborhood church in Bacoor (first) and for our final church (seventh), this new church discovery of ours in Tagaytay known locally as the Peach Sisters Chapel. We then met up with the rest of the family at Water Camp in Kawit for swimming. We had loads of fun and rest which are what we look forward to every year whenever the Holy Week season is here.

Weekend Story: Overnight Stay in Baguio

The hubby and I were in Baguio on April 8-9. Through the kindness of the bosses of my PILs, we were able to stay at the Legarda Mansion there. The Legarda family has been trying to sell the property since the start of the year and my PILs sort of wanted to check it out for the last time. My FIL wasn’t able to join us, though, because he suddenly had something important to do. It was just the hubby, my SIL, my MIL, and me. It was a fun trip and despite my upset stomach, we were able to drive around Baguio with British to eat and shop.

Weekend Story: A Slew of Events and Errands + A Quick Escape to Tagaytay

Last weekend was hectic. We attended several events on Saturday: Hyundai’s National Car Wash Day at Hyundai Quezon Avenue, Manila International Auto Show (MAIS) 2017 at the World Trade Center, and Team Accent Philippines’ (TAP) members meet up at Vikings Mall of Asia (MOA). We also squeezed in a visit to the Uber offices in Taft Avenue Avenue and One-Ecom MOA, to submit the hubby’s requirements. Yes, he applied to be an Uber partner and got accepted. He will do it on a part-time basis and he’s already excited about his first trip, hahaha. On Sunday, we drove to Tagaytay to unwind before heading back to Manila that same day.

Below are some photos that describe our weekend:

Weekend Story: St. Pio Shrine in Sto. Tomas, Batangas + More Pasyal

Last weekend took the hubby and I (and my sister Jodie) from Manila to Bacoor and Batangas and back to Manila. Traveling is always fun, especially if there’s no traffic along the way to your destination. SLEX traffic was light to zero last Saturday so our trip to Sto. Tomas, Batangas where the St. Pio Shrine is located was a breeze. We found out that there’s now a second open-air chapel there that’s quite bigger than the old one. It must be the admin’s positive response to the growing number of visitors in the place. In Manila on Sunday, we attended the birthday party of the hubby’s guy cousin’s daughter at Jollibee-C3 in Caloocan City. He’s the one whose wedding we attended in this weekend story. Oh, how time flies! Now, their baby is one year old. Which reminds me, the hubby and I should try harder at getting pregnant, hahaha.

Here are some pics from our fun weekend:
