Last weekend passed by quickly. I guess weekends are fast like that so you really have to make the most of your time. In our case, it’s more of down time. The hubby and I got to rest and spend time with our extended families. Aside from shopping for food and hearing the mass, we didn’t do anything outside the house.
Weekend Story: More Rest and Family Time
Last weekend was ordinary but fun. The hubby and I spent it resting and bonding with our extended families at home. I think we only went out to go to church and the supermarket and to dine out because my sister Nyam wanted to treat us to dinner and coffee (who are we to decline, right?). I love weekends like this that don’t require a lot of thinking and planning. Busy weekends are okay with me, too, as long as I’m doing things with the people I love.
Weekend Story: At Home and Out
Last long weekend was quiet but fun. The hubby and I were mostly at home. We went out on Saturday with my PILs to attend the anticipated mass at the church we frequent and then dine out for dinner after. On Sunday, we drove to Malabon to my MIL’s brother’s place to visit him and his big, happy family. We did nothing on Monday; we just tried to re-energize ourselves and prepare for the coming work week.
Weekend Story: Happy At Home
Last weekend, I spent more time at home than the hubby did. I was happy and comfy at home kasi doing nothing, haha. We had a grocery run and a quick lunch with my MIL on Saturday. Then he, along with my in-laws, drove to Manila on Sunday to finish some errands and visit some people. I opted to stay home and dog sit Jasper while they were in Manila and just asked for some Popeye’s takeout because I heard their SM Manila branch has just opened to the public.
Weekend Story: Mama Tining’s Birthday Dinner + Chillax at Home
Last long weekend was steady and quiet. We just left the house on Saturday night to dine out and celebrate my MIL’s 71st birthday and spent the rest of the weekend at home. Oh, except for the hubby who had to go to work on Monday for an important task that needed to be done on time.

Weekend Story: A Birthday Bash in Bacoor + A Christening in Pasig
The hubby and I were in two locations last weekend. Of course, Bacoor is a given. On Saturday, we celebrated Mame’s 65th birthday at their place next door. She invited some friends and neighbors over. Her nephew Kuya Neil and his family (they’re the ones based in Mandaluyong that we occasionally visit) also came to celebrate with us. It was a good celebration and we had lots of fun. We were also thankful to Mame’s guests for coming to her lunch party despite the rains and the flood they encountered on their way to Bacoor and in the city itself.
On Sunday, the hubby and I, along with my parents and my sister Jodie, attended the christening of our cousin’s baby in Pasig. The reception was held at Comida China de Manila along C5 Road. There we saw many relatives from my father’s side of the family. Ayun, kamustahan at kwentuhang walang humpay! Nag-enjoy kami lahat at umuwing masasaya. We even got to pay a visit to the St. Pio Shrine at Libis on our way home to light some candles.
