Weekend Story: #PippoDay + Family Time

Last weekend was memorable and fun. On Saturday, the hubby and I celebrated our little angel’s 7th birthday in heaven by hearing the anticipated mass at St. Michael the Archangel Shrine in Malacañang, visiting his niche housed in that same church complex, and having dinner at Wok Inn Restaurant in Malate with our former La Cocina boss, Dr. Ramon Legarda.

On Sunday, we went to the condo again and swam in the pool. We just brought some sandwiches and chips so we had something to eat while there. We then spent the rest of the day at S&R Baclaran (to catch the last day of the members’ treat) and at home.

Weekend Story: New Condo + Jasper the Friendly Dog’s 2nd Birthday

So last weekend was kinda hectic but fun. The condo unit we bought in Bacoor was turned over to us last week. We visited it and got to hang out at the massive lounge there and try one of the swimming pools at the garden area. So far, so good.

We also celebrated our family pet’s second birthday by buying him a cake. He’s grown so big and super kulit and he continues to bring joy into our lives. We love him dearly.

Weekend Story: Cooling Down At Home

Last weekend was steady. The weather was still very hot and it didn’t help that I still had to move around the house to get things done. But everything was manageable naman despite the fact that the hubby wasn’t around. He got lucky and was able to travel to Bohol for a short vacay. He missed his parents so much and there was no better time to go. As for me, I got left behind with our pet dog Jasper. I couldn’t join the hubby because of the tight sched in our office, so sad.

Weekend Story: More Time Together and With Family

Last weekend was just like a lot of our past weekends — simple and quiet. On Saturday, the hubby biked in Mall of Asia (MOA) in the morning with his biking buddy Giannie while I was busy sleeping, hahaha. When afternoon came, we drove home in Bacoor. We had the house all to ourselves and so we had a lot of couple time doing mostly household chores. We got back to Manila on Sunday night and had a family dinner at Max’s Restaurant SM Manila courtesy of our seaman cousin Jun2x who has just come back from his 11-month stint in a foreign cargo ship. (He was also part of a few of my weekend stories in 2015 when he was still staying at my siblings’ place finishing his seafarer’s trainings and completing his papers.). Thanks again for the treat, Jun2x!

It was another weekend to remember and these few photos are proof to that:

Ready for the Weekend

It’s Friday already and weekend is only several hours away. I can’t wait for the weekend to arrive. I can’t wait for the hubby and I to go home in Cavite. My SIL asked to go with us and we agreed to take her so I guess that’s another reason to be happy about. Having a guest at home is always fun as I get to cook more. You know how much I love experimenting in the kitchen. Haha.

Speaking of cooking, I just remembered my pantry already needs replenishment. Good thing my new fave supermarket, Rustan’s Fresh in Evia, Daang Hari is just a 30-minute car ride away. I so love the atmosphere there. Not only do they have a wide selection of fresh produce and dry goods, but they also have friendly staff and a spick-and-span place that makes grocery shopping more enjoyable. I’m telling you, I can stay there the whole day just comparing food labels. I know every Rustan’s supermarket is like that but this particular branch is the most charming for me. Oh well, that, or I’m just easy to please.

Fun Weekend in the Suburb

Last weekend was fun. My mom, along with my two younger sisters, joined us in our Bacoor home. We spent the weekend doing the usual daily activities but in a fresher and more relaxed environment of the suburb. This is the life.

We cooked, ate, watched cable TV, surfed the net, played NBA games on PS3, walked around the village, and chatted about almost anything under the sun, from grocery shopping and wonder bras to child rearing and steel buildings canada. I missed my mom and two sisters so much, I was glad I had the time to bond with them again since the wedding.
