GM Diet Day-by-Day Account: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3
Today, January 25, 2013, is my Day 4 on the GM Diet. I’m halfway through the challenge and I feel good about it! But first things first…
Here’s what Day 4 says:
Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.
Day 4 Weight: 135 lbs. (lost 4 lbs. since Day 1)
I was expecting to lose another 1.5 lbs. courtesy of Day 3 but then I remembered I slept late last night, 11:45pm to be exact. The past days I slept early, say 9pm. You see, sleep and metabolism are interconnected. The more sleep you get, the greater the body’s ability to perform metabolic functions becomes. And vice versa. So yeah, I think that’s the reason why I just lost a pound instead of a pound and a half. Haha.
I started the day with a glass of water, 2 pcs. lakatan banana and a glass of non-fat milk. Lunch and dinner were the same, except I overdid the milk. I finished the entire 1-liter pack! Haha. But I drank around 12 glasses of water to help my body burn the extra calories. Again, no time for exercise today and it must be the reason why I’ve been losing less pounds than others have. But that’s okay because I’m also after the detox effect of this diet plan.
For my afternoon snack, I had the wonder soup which I cooked on my own, and without the suggested Lipton onion soup mix because I couldn’t find any in the supermarket. Sad. Anyway, I just used rock salt as seasoning to the soup and canned whole tomatoes instead of fresh ones. I just boiled everything away and when the veggies were cooked already, I transferred the lot to microwaveable containers for reheating in the office. Easy peasy.
Wonder soup ingredients:
28 oz, water
6 large onions
2 green peppers
whole tomatoes (fresh or canned)
1 head cabbage
1 bunch celery
4 envelopes Lipton onion soup mix
herbs and flavouring as desired
Breakdown of Actual Expenses:
1L Nestle Non-Fat Milk, P80
6 pcs. lakatan banana, P30
Wonder Soup (all ingredients included), P98
Total Expenses: P208
So far, this is the most expensive among the diet days. But I’m not complaining because I am gonna consume everything, anyway.
I’ve never felt so light in my life. I also noticed my tummy has shrank considerably. I can really tell this diet is doing something good to my body. Love it.
I’m so excited for Day 5 because I can finally eat meat! 🙂
P.S. I took my weight using a bathroom scale first thing in the morning, with an empty stomach.
