Because June has officially started, rains have become a regular thing in this side of the world. The hubby and I drove to Bacoor last Friday night and spent the weekend at home. We only went out to buy some groceries and after that, enjoyed the company of each other inside the four corners of our humble abode. My PILs joined us on Saturday and we all went back to Manila on Sunday night. It was quite relaxing and fun. The only downside of the situation was that the continuous drizzle made us eat more than we used to. Good thing we had enough food in the pantry and my MIL did all the cooking as usual. Love her talaga! Haha.
Weekend Story: PILs in the House + Decluttering My Closet
Last weekend, the hubby and I were joined by my PILs in Bacoor. We drove there on Friday night and headed back to Manila on Sunday afternoon. I was quite productive because I finally got to declutter my closet after ten years, hahaha. Seriously, it felt good to get rid of old clothes and to let go of new ones that I kept for so long because I thought they would fit me again. I admit it was difficult for me to do it but sometimes, hard decisions have to be made. I told myself I’d just buy new ones as a sort of reward when and if I’d be able to lose weight talaga in the (hopefully, near) future. The clothes, both old and new, are to go to Mame’s relatives upon her suggestion. Fine with me.

Weekend Story: Mother’s Day Celebration 2018
Mother’s Day and barangay elections, two of the things that made the long weekend for most of us. In our family, Mother’s Day is celebrated without much fanfare and this time around, it was through a dinner on Sunday night at Conti’s Robinsons Magnolia, one of the malls we favor because it’s not always too crowded like other commercial centers. In our side of town, the elections went smoothly and peacefully last Monday, thank goodness.
The hubby and I opted to stay in Manila the entire long weekend and it proved to be a good decision because we got to finish some errands and bond with our family. Below are some photos:

Weekend Story: Hooked on Netflix + More Time with Family
Last weekend was spent in Bacoor with Mame and my sister Jodie. We drove there on Saturday night and headed back to Manila on Sunday night. It was just an overnight stay that saw us (me, in particular) getting hooked on Netflix and just lazing around because, weekend. We are grateful for the happy moments we shared just eating, sleeping, and of course, watching a lot of Netflix. The husband, on the other hand, was more productive than the rest of us as he got to wash his car and do the laundry (with some help from Mame). I love my housemate and our house guests. Haha.

Weekend Story: Family Time in Manila
Last weekend was spent in Manila with family and friends. On Saturday, I got lots of sleep and rest while the hubby had tons of fun cleaning his car at the garage and biking solo at Mall of Asia. I also got to try for dinner the newly-opened Kenny Rogers inside MalacaƱang (limited seats but it’s open 24/7!) with my sister Jodie and brother Dan. On Sunday, I overslept again in the morning and joined the hubby in the afternoon in going to the birthday party of his godchild at Jollibee Welcome Rotonda in QC.
Weekend Story: Done with Santa Clarita Diet (the TV Series) + Some Downtime with my PILs
If there’s one thing I got to accomplish last weekend, that would be finishing watching the two full seasons of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. I can truly say that I enjoyed watching the show. It was generally hilarious but one could tell there were some family values being promoted as well. Like how a family should stick together especially when dealing with a strange problem and adjusting to an even stranger situation. In fact, I now look forward to Season 3, provided there will be one in the making (I really think so!).
On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with my PILs arrived in our Bacoor home and stayed there until Sunday afternoon. It was a quick weekend but one we’re grateful for because family time is still family time. Life is short and so let’s make the most of every day, and every weekend for that matter.
