Weekend Story: A Christening, A Birthday, and A Few Other Stuff

Last long weekend was quite hectic. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with Mame, went to the wet market in the morning to buy fresh produce. We also drove to Alabang in the afternoon to hear mass and go malling. Actually, it was just Mame and I who roamed around Alabang Town Center (ATC) because the hubby met up with his car club friends at this restaurant within the Filinvest area and he just picked us up at the mall when it was time for us to go home.

On Sunday, our first activity was the christening of a friend’s miracle baby scheduled around lunchtime. (The event was filled with good vibes and I even cried a little hearing the very emotional prayer of our friend mostly expressing her immense joy for finally having a child after so many years of trying to conceive. God really has wonderful plans for all of us!) We would then join the family at night for the birthday dinner of my brother Dan at…where else but our new fave Betoy’s Restaurant Molino! 😛

Weekend Story: Chillax in Bacoor

Last weekend was all about family bonding. The hubby and I went to the wet market along with Mame on Saturday morning. We would then go to SM Molino in the afternoon to buy some supplies, this time with my SIL Albie. The three of us also heard the anticipated mass that night at this church near our place and met up with Mame and my sister Jodie for dinner at Betoy’s Restaurant Molino after. Mame worked last Valentine’s Day at her friend’s flower shop in Kawit and she used a portion of her income to treat us (she insisted). When it’s Mame’s treat, it’s sky’s the limit, kaya ang saya-saya, hahaha. Buti na lang, affordable sa Betoy’s at masarap pa!

Weekend Story: Tagaytay with Tropang Ramen + Another Resto To Love in Bacoor (Betoy’s Restaurant Molino)

Last weekend was carefree and fun. The hubby and I spent most of our Saturday with our good friends Nice and Melay in Tagaytay. Our Sunday was spent with my family. We were not able to go to the wet market and to church this time and instead, we just went grocery shopping and did household chores together. We even got to drive to Naic in the morning with my parents to pick up a few items from our family home there. We plan to have it rented out soon so we’re slowly moving things out of the house.

Weekend Story: Gardening with the Mabalays

Last weekend was quiet and chill. I started Saturday by giving Jasper (the friendly dog) a bath. (He gets a bath every Saturday morning, provided I got enough sleep the night before, hehe.) Mame and I went to the palengke right after. We would then go to church, along with the hubby and my SIL Albie, in the afternoon to hear the anticipated mass.

On Sunday, the hubby and I drove my sister Jodie to her dorm. She opted for this arrangement because she hasn’t adjusted to the Bacoor-Manila-Bacoor commuting situation yet. We were also with Mame and my SIL. Mame wanted to take a look at her youngest child’s dorm kasi. Si SIL naman, nagkaroon ng stroke scare kaya sugod sila ni hubby sa St. Luke’s QC! Buti na lang, false alarm pala. Apparently, it was just a frozen shoulder (thank God!). We would then go back to Bacoor in the afternoon without Jodie but with my brother Dan because I asked him to buy some plant pots in Divisoria for our gardening session later.

Weekend Story: Simple Things + Quick Visit to Our Naic Home

Last weekend was a-okay. I spent my time with the hubby and my family next door. I cooked some delicious meals, cut my nails, took long showers, finished a long overdue task (a.k.a. mending up a ripped throw pillow cover), went to the wet market with Mame, folded and ironed some clothes (the hubby took care of the laundry, as usual), watched a bit of Netflix, and enjoyed siesta time for two straight days. It was quite refreshing, actually, having done all those things. So simple, yet so productive and good for the soul.

On Sunday, the hubby and I, along with my brother Dan drove to our Naic home to pick up some stuff there. This is in preparation for the time when we have it rented out, which hopefully, happens sooner than later because we need money for the monthly amortization of my family’s new Bacoor home.
