While we always look forward to weekends (kaway-kaway sa mga weekend warriors dyan!), weekends these days for us are extra special because family members are around. The family is complete because we really try to lessen our trips outside. If before, my siblings (who are our neighbors) normally go out with friends during weekends, now they’re home. Mornings are for coffee breaks and afternoons are well, for merienda, haha. We bond over food: food that are available at home and food delivered via Food Panda or Grab Food. It’s more costly this way because we tend to include online shopping in our bonding sessions, but at least we know our chances of getting the dreaded virus is low.
Weekend Story: My 37th Birthday Celebration
Last weekend was another long one for me because yesterday, October 12th, was my birthday. Yay, I just turned 37 years old! I really can’t ask for more blessings from above because I’ve had enough this year (despite the CoViD-19 pandemic being a kill joy!), the greatest of them being NJ, our rainbow baby. She’s growing up so fast and we can’t wait to do more family activities with her that involves going out of the house. It’s my first birthday with her around and it feels so surreal. My heart is filled with gratitude and I plan to continue with this state of heart (and mind) for as long as I can.

Weekend Story: Baby NJ’s Pedia Visit + Edwin’s 41st Birthday Celebration
Last weekend was a long one for us because we took a leave from work yesterday for the hubby’s birthday. Well, technically, it was just him who literally took a leave from work because I was working from home yesterday.
On Saturday, we took baby NJ to her pediatrician (whose clinic is located in Binondo, Manila) for her second pneumococcal and third rotavirus vaccines. One more vaccine to go and our wallets will be able to rest temporarily until next year!

Weekend Story: Baby NJ’s Christening + Pippo’s 8th Birthday in Heaven
After ten years, I’ve finally gone back to writing weekend stories again. Hopefully, I could do this regularly na. If not, ibig sabihin, na-busy or nagprocrastinate na naman si Mommy Edel, hahaha. Anyway, ours was a long weekend as we took a leave from work yesterday to have some down time and celebrate our little angel Pippo’s 8th birthday in heaven. Gosh, it’s been eight years already! So dapat pala may second grader na ako ngayon, waaaah.

Weekend Story: Edwin’s 40th Birthday Celebration
Last weekend was meaningful and fun. The hubby turned 40 last Saturday and we celebrated it the best way we could. The celebrant wanted to go swimming courtesy of the condo’s swimming pools and so we did. We just brought in some food which we partook of picnic style inside our unit.
On Sunday, we went to Festival Mall in Alabang to buy maintenance meds for my PILs (which they will take to Bohol with them this week) and had a post-birthday dinner for the hubby at Via Mare.

Weekend Story: #PippoDay + Family Time
Last weekend was memorable and fun. On Saturday, the hubby and I celebrated our little angel’s 7th birthday in heaven by hearing the anticipated mass at St. Michael the Archangel Shrine in MalacaƱang, visiting his niche housed in that same church complex, and having dinner at Wok Inn Restaurant in Malate with our former La Cocina boss, Dr. Ramon Legarda.
On Sunday, we went to the condo again and swam in the pool. We just brought some sandwiches and chips so we had something to eat while there. We then spent the rest of the day at S&R Baclaran (to catch the last day of the members’ treat) and at home.
