Last weekend was quite hectic. On Saturday, we visited the condo and had some fixtures installed in our drying/storage area. The hubby and I were with Mame and my sister Jodie. And since we were already there, we also swam in the pool for a good 30 minutes. Our entire Sunday was spent with baby NJ who’s growing to be more cheerful and independent each day. She loves strolling around the village (actually, it’s more of along our street lang!). It’s a good thing there are also some babies in our area that she sees and interacts with when we are outside. Siguro paglaki nila, sila rin ang magiging magba-barkada, hehe.
Weekend Story: More Bonding Time with My In-Laws
Last weekend was spent with my in-laws in Bacoor. We arrived there on Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday afternoon also. On our way to Bacoor, we stopped at S&R to have a late lunch and buy some supplies. We heard mass on Sunday morning. During the rest of the weekend, we were just lazing around, marathoning movies and TV series, eating a balance mix of junk food and home-cooked meals prepared by my MIL, and getting lots of sleep. I love slow weekends!

Weekend Story: To Things That Matter
Last weekend was spent with my in-laws in Bacoor. The hubby and I, along with my PILs, drove there on Friday night and my SIL followed the next day. We went out on Saturday to go to the mall and purchase a new ref because the old one we were using, which we borrowed only from my PILs, has decided to retire after 20+ years. (The new appliance will be delivered to our house this coming Saturday.) On Sunday, we went out again to go to the church in the morning and drove back to Manila in the afternoon. We dropped by SM Manila before going home because my PILs needed to buy some supplies.
I know this sounds cliche, but among the many things that matter, family really comes on top. For me, it’s always a joy to be with them physically so I can imagine the sadness and sacrifice of those who need to be away from their families for a long time due to economic reasons. I wish for the day when all families are living simple but happy lives together. Not necessarily together all the time, but you know, making an effort to spend more time to be together despite the busyness and complexity of the life we live in this digital world.
Weekend Story: Quiet Time in Bacoor and Planet Cable-Internet Subscription
It was just the hubby and me in Bacoor last weekend. We drove there on Friday night and went back to Manila on Sunday night, the longest we’ve stayed in a weekend in our marital home since the last few months. We just enjoyed each other’s company, and went out of the house only when we had to. Like when we heard the mass at the church near our village and bought some stuff at the mall on Sunday morning. The rest of the time was spent doing household chores, getting online, eating, and sleeping. Oh, we also had our Cignal cable subscription replaced with a different one (also with several HD channels) that came bundled with unlimited internet (3 Mbps) because the hubby wanted to and he agreed to pay half of its monthly fee (which is now higher at PHP1,575 because of the internet bundle). Super fine with me! Haha.

Weekend Story: Wedding + Birthday + Family Day
Last weekend was spent with family and friends (our usual routine). The hubby and I actually had a long one because we took a leave from work on Friday to attend the wedding of our friend Leisette in Pasig. We would then drive home in Bacoor on Saturday afternoon with my parents and my sister Jodie who was celebrating her birthday the next day. That night, we heard the anticipated mass at Madonna del Amore Parish and went straight to Evia Lifestyle Center after. We then treated our house guests to Chinese food for dinner at Hap Chan. Jodie’s birthday salubong happened inside the moviehouse where we watched Spiderman Homecoming in 4D (her treat!). We returned to Manila on Sunday night where we met up with the rest of the fam bam at Okada Manila to watch the dancing fountain there. It was another weekend to remember and be grateful for!

Weekend Story: Celebrations
Last long weekend was all about celebrating and bonding with friends. On Saturday, I was at Via Mare, MOA Arena Annex during lunchtime for the christening of my college friend’s son. From there, the hubby and I went home in Bacoor and that night, we had a date at Evia Lifestyle Center because the hubby wanted to see the latest Transformers movie in the cinema house. But not before going to the church because the hubby’s religious like that. By Sunday, we drove back to Manila and attended the hubby’s cousin’s son’s birthday at Jollibee Grace Park in Caloocan City with my in-laws. We spent Monday just at home doing household chores and taking lots of rest.
