Weekend Story: Easy Breezy

Last weekend was easy breezy and started early for the hubby and me. On Friday night, we met up with friends to celebrate the birthday of our friend Raffy. He’s the chairman of a barangay here in Manila and he just turned 39. From our meeting place which was their barangay hall, we transferred to a nearby restaurant to have dinner and some wine. We were a group of six and we spent time until a little past midnight. From the restaurant, the hubby and I drove to Bacoor and stayed there until Sunday night.

Here are some photos that made up our weekend:

no crispy pata for me, boo! 🙁

Whenever my red meat cravings strike, I remind myself that I’m doing this to lose weight. Aside from the fact that I’m now at my biggest (like in my almost 34 years on earth biggest!), I’m preparing for our high school reunion this coming December. Siyempre gusto ko naman, maayos-ayos ang itsura ko sa group pictures namin, hahaha. I may or may not go back to eating red meat, though. Only time can tell. For the meantime, I’ve been enjoying chicken, fish, dairy and veggies. I’m also on the hunt for meat-free alternatives like these Quorn products I’ve been hearing about online. It’s made of mycoprotein (from an edible fungus variety). I first saw them on IG and found them at Robinsons supermarket in Bacoor and at S&R Baclaran. I’m not sure if SM supermarkets have them but I’ll check when I go to SM Manila this week.

Have a fruitful week, friends! 🙂

    1. Hindi talaga, Je, haha. Kailangang pangatawanan, eh. Although, hindi rin kasi ako sobrang mahilig sa crispy pata at lechon. Buti na lang! 😉
