Weekend Story: 4th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

The hubby and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary last March 17th. Our celebration spilled over until last weekend when we had an overnight stay at Crimson Hotel in Alabang for some R&R (siyempre hindi na kami lumayo pa!). We even got to squeeze biking into our schedule as it has recently become our Saturday morning routine.

Time flies fast, indeed. Four years of being together as a married couple is a big deal for us because it affirms two things: we get along well with each other and our marriage is okay. Our relationship as husband and wife isn’t perfect but we continue to make it work. It’s too early to tell if our marriage will last so I won’t even dare to make an assumption or something. But we are continuously praying for stability and harmony in our marriage. At the rate things are going, I think we’re fine and we continue to make each other happy, satisfied, and appreciated.

Weekend Story: Valentine’s Day 2016

How was your Valentine weekend? Was it filled with love and sweetness? Ayieeeee! As for the hubby and I, we spent it here in Manila. We biked in the morning and had a dinner date at night on February 13th. On Valentine’s Day itself, we biked some more and I worked in the restaurant at night to help ensure our guest couples there were happy and satisfied.

Below are some snapshots from our weekend:

Meal Planning on a Budget

Staying at our in-laws’ place during weekdays, I leave the meal planning to the lady of the house, my MIL. She decides what food to prepare for the family, with occasional requests from her husband and three children (that includes yours truly).

Meal planning during weekends at our marital home in Bacoor is a different story. There, I get to practice being the smart wife who knows her way around the kitchen. In the three years that the hubby and I are married (going four in March!), I have not really sat down and written a meal plan. Or maybe I have, but it was only written in my head, not on paper. Haha.

Weekend Story: Work and Workout

So, last weekend was quite busy for the hubby and me. There was not much rest because he had classes on Saturday afternoon while I had work on Sunday. Despite the tight sched, we were still able to go to Bacoor on Saturday night only to drive back to Manila the next day. We also went biking on Friday and Sunday nights which turned out to be a great bonding and workout activity for us.

Weekend Story: Fast-Faced but Fun

Because I got sick two weekends ago, all I wanted for last weekend was to be back to normal. By normal, I meant the hubby and I doing things together, getting some rest, and just living a simple life at home in Bacoor. Last weekend turned out to be just that. It was fast-faced, alright, but it was fun. I really couldn’t ask for more.

On Saturday, the hubby attended his classes in the afternoon while I had a date with Mame at SM Manila. I was supposed to have a “me” time but I decided to be with her at the last minute. First, she accompanied me to Lay Bare for underarm wax treatment. Speaking of wax treatments, I still can’t muster enough courage to get a Brazilian wax even if I’ve been itching to have one in ages. Mataas naman ang tolerance ko sa pain pero ewan ko ba, hindi ko pa magawa! Hahaha. Soon, I guess.
