Weekend Story: Fast-Faced but Fun

Because I got sick two weekends ago, all I wanted for last weekend was to be back to normal. By normal, I meant the hubby and I doing things together, getting some rest, and just living a simple life at home in Bacoor. Last weekend turned out to be just that. It was fast-faced, alright, but it was fun. I really couldn’t ask for more.

On Saturday, the hubby attended his classes in the afternoon while I had a date with Mame at SM Manila. I was supposed to have a “me” time but I decided to be with her at the last minute. First, she accompanied me to Lay Bare for underarm wax treatment. Speaking of wax treatments, I still can’t muster enough courage to get a Brazilian wax even if I’ve been itching to have one in ages. Hahaha. Soon, I guess.

From Lay Bare, we strolled around the mall and ended up shopping and eating.

with Mame (hindi talaga kami magkamukha!)

I met with the hubby at my PILs’ place and we got to Bacoor at past 8PM.

On Sunday, we attended the 9AM mass at our neighborhood church and spent the rest of the day at home. He did the laundry and cleaned our bathroom while I folded our clothes and cooked our meals. I also skipped rice the whole day and survived it. I wish I could do this every day! Papayat siguro ako ng bongga, hahaha.

For breakfast, I had this…

Banana Yakult smoothie

Lunch was composed of this plate of homemade salad (with the addition of a grilled burger patty)…

Dinner was another plate of the same salad with two hard-boiled eggs.

I told you, I really didn’t eat rice! And I also didn’t have snacks because I felt surprisingly full for hours after drinking the smoothie in the morning and eating the salad at noon. I can get used to this diet. Like, seriously. Pero ang effort nga lang sa preparations. Hmmm…*thinks hard*

Happy Monday, people! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,

  1. Hindi nga kayo magkamukha ng mame mo, hihihi…Glad that your okay now sis.
    God Bless sis!!!

    1. Hahaha. Thank you, Grace! 🙂

  2. Hope you’re feeling better! 🙂 Regarding b.wax, if ever you do decide to have it done, mas okay siya pag hot wax instead of cold wax (the one Laybare uses). Fewer pulls kasi and faster, so less pain, less agony haha 🙂

    1. I’m good, Jackie. Thanks for the tip!

  3. I’ve tried brazilian wax twice and masakit nga siya 🙁

I agree with Jackie about Strip for brazilian wax. Mas mabilis sila and they put something cooling after every strip, so instant relief.

    1. Waaaaah, lalo tuloy ako natakot, Jill! Haha. If ever I’d finally have it done, I think it would be wise to choose Strip because of the cooling effect they provide after every strip. 🙂

      1. And mas mabilis pa. Around 10-15 minutes lang ako with Strip, and may mga breaks pa yon, while almost 40 minutes sa Lay Bare.

    1. It sure tasted amazing! Na-try ko kasi before sa High Tea (milk tea shop) yung parang fruit-yakult smoothie nila so sabi ko ma-replicate nga sa house. Masarap naman ang kinalabasan! 🙂

  4. Taraaay hahahaa Pero alam mo for the longest time, I wanted to try those packed meals… kaso namamahalan ako hahahahaha

Dun sa Brazilian… i think i can tolerate the pain..yun hiya ang hindi ahahaha

@TPS: Sure! Pero matagal pa siguro ako, hahaha. 🙂
