Weekend Story: Mall of Asia + UP Diliman + Manila Ocean Park

Last weekend primarily revolved around these three places: Mall of Asia, UP Diliman, and Manila Ocean Park. The hubby and I didn’t go home in Bacoor intentionally so we could spend more time with our family and friends here in Manila. We were glad to have made such a decision because it turned out to be beneficial not just for our body but also for our soul.

Mall of Asia (MOA)

The hubby didn’t have classes in grad school so we were able to go biking in MOA on Saturday morning. His officemate Giannie joined us there, too. We had breakfast together at our fave Biker’s Cafe before going home.

Weekend Story: Quiet Family Time + Evia Lifestyle Center

Weekends are for family and friends. In our case, it’s been more with family in the past months. Families are forever, after all. And they’re one of the very few constant entities in our ever-changing world. Last weekend was spent with family as Mame and my younger sister Jodie joined us in Bacoor.

On Saturday morning, the hubby biked at Mall of Asia while I did a 10km combination of running, jogging, and brisk walking in our ‘hood. As much as I missed staying late in bed, I couldn’t allow myself to put on more weight. A gain of 10 lbs. in just a span of two months is unjustifiable. I need to lose weight for health and vanity reasons! 😛

Our New Adidas Running Shoes

The fiancee has long been bugging me to run, and recently I have given in to his plea. But only after I had him promised me that he’d run and not just jog or brisk walk like what he was used to doing before. After receiving our mid-year bonus last month, we got ourselves new Adidas running shoes. Each pair costed us a little less than P3,000. We both got black running shoes because we thought the color was low-maintenance and wouldn’t get dirty easily as compared to white.

One Month of No Work

One month of no work in the fine dining restaurant where I work part-time, that is. As I understand, we’re having major renovations done in the different areas of the ancestral house. I think this has a lot to do with our boss’s plan to keep the business for many years to come. I see this as a good news for it could only mean one thing for all of us working there — a more stable employment.

Definitely, each repair in the restaurant has a reason. The improvements in the kitchen, for instance, are being undertaken so that we could elevate our food standards. We want to serve only the freshest and the yummiest Filipino and Spanish specialties to our growing clientele. I can’t wait to see the new look of the establishment which I have come to love through the years.
